Anyone else notice a substantial drop in traffic lately?

I know that a few people that I've talked to have and was just curious how widespread the problem is. I noticed a drop in over 60% of my traffic in the past two weeks and it just seems to be getting worse. I can account for nothing on my end that could be to blame. For now I guess I'm just interested in knowing who else is having problems, if anyone, so that maybe something can be figured out.

Check the productivity of your trades.

If you have a lot of sites with lower %'s that could mean 2 possible reasons.

1)Your trade's hits are not clicking your HTML, maybe a layout clean up is in order.
2)Your traffic has gone stale. Get more clean traffic.

Or it could be a problem in your process, who knows!

just my 2 cents. Don't take my word for it though.

yeah...believe me, I've checked pretty much everything. My productivity isn't as great as it was five months ago, to be sure, but its not any different than it was a month ago. I've also redesigned my site and brought my prod. up some in the past week which is when its dropped the most. Even feeding my sites traffic from non-cj trades isn't helping, and I'm sending in more than ever.
I'm kind of hoping this IS just a problem with a few sites, and not a fall in CJ traffic in general...which it doesn't look like.

I dont know if we could say that there is a substential drop in traffic...but what I know is that new cj sites pop up everyday...and if some of them get lots of hits, some others must lose some since new sites often recycle traffic...this situation makes the overall traffic more unstable...of course some sites bring fresh traffic everyday which helps a lot...

#1 sextracker is not the key in gauging your success of your website. it should be your wallet. yes, sometimes they go hand in hand. but, i assure you 40k on my first cj site two years ago pulled in what nickD is pulling in now with 180k. no fucking lie. i was getting 20 signups a day just off the exit and 9 signups a day off the top banner. thats 29 signups*40 bucks. thats 30k/month off a little piece of a shit site. my other site www.happydicks.com (http://www.happydicks.com) was a tgp and well, with 65k/day it was just total shit because i traded with exit traffic, etc.... thats why i sold it http://adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/smile.gif
#2 cj is about speed. i really dont think counters are that important. and if you do have one please dont use the extra referral j-s. even if aol does suck more dick than houston(the pornstar...well, the city, too...i dont think humbolt gets on this board..lol). you gotta realize it takes forever for j-s to load. and often comes up as a fuck up(ie. j-s will cause a 404). you can say fuck aol. but its probably a good 20% of your traffic.
#3 do you want traffic to your site of just hits? the main reason exit traffic sucks my nuts is because it counts as a hit but 60% of the time the browser is closed before the "ad" can be fully seen. thats what is happening now. you have more tricks to get a click like on freehornysluts.com(just an example with their j-s) but the click itself is worthless to the next guy since its worse than a blind link.
anyways, guys i would take a real look into this. nickD probably has the biggest cj/toplist site out there and is the best quality. maybe he is just a fucking genius. maybe it was because i told him to redo his layout http://adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/redface.gif) either way everyone needs to evaluate the sites they are trading with and decide if they want "traffic" or quality hits. if you dont believe me, talk to hoffman...ultradonkey.com he gets 100k/day but i promise the dude pulls in more than a redhead hooker on 5th and broadway. think quality not quantity.

I do bring *fresh* traffic everyday. My biggest trade is with slutwifestory TGP. And I do alot of search engine traffic, and my traffic still dropped. My productivity is over 150%(I am told by other folks)

People can't just signup on my page anymore, I found that it is pointless. New sites popup everyday and the recycle traffic. In my script I can see who recycles traffic and who doesn't.

IE. I have 4 trades, let's call em trade A,B,C,D.

Trade A sends about 20k, B sends about 10k, C sends about 15k, D sends about 12k.

B returns me about 45% of traffic that I send to A. C returns about 60% of traffic that I send to B. and D returns about 5% of traffic that I send to ABC. D is the trade I want to work on.

Also, keep in mind that when this thread was started several of the top search engines did a re-index of their database.

I know, because I lost a lot of quality search engine hits. Most from Excite.
