A basic question (please dont laugh). Before i go and try to get trades should i be getting traffic to my site first? If so does that mean that I need to make the links actually go to where they are saying they are going? I understand the basics of the how CJ sites work just confused on actually getting it off the ground. Ive read up on what i can find but the initial launching is having me baffled. Thanks in advance. Amen.
I highly suggest you get some traffic before you start to jerk. You'll see better results and plus you'll be doing the whole CJ community a HUGE favor, once you start to trade.
You might want to do some TGP posting, Topsite's, Link sites.. all the usual stuff to gain hits. But i also suggest you continue to pull new traffic. Once again you'll see better results in the long run.
Maybe have a few thumbs that actually work, maybe get some BookMark's.

Ron, are you saying that i should make the links stay within my site to actual pages? And then when traffic gets good implement the trades and take out my own links so I can start trading immediately?Sorry to be such a dumbass, from the other posts in here it seems its better to do it right from the start then to make enemies.

well it's good you wana know what your doing before hand.
Yeah i would try doing it that way, (Use your full page to gain traffic) then once you have a nice flow, impliment the CJ script.. You should try to use methods that you can adapt to the CJ script easily once you get to that stage.
BUT i could be wrong, i mean i haven't run a 100k+ site for that matter a 50k site.
And i guess your daily traffic judges your IQ around here. LOL, but give it a try, get a plan worked out that fits your outlook in the long run. It isn't too hard to get a ncie CJ site going, you just need to be smart about it, AND NOT LAZY!!
In that i mean LOTS of freash traffic, traders will be busting down the door to get your good quality traffic!
