Looking for people to share a dedicated server

Hi all,

I am looking for people to share a dedicated server with me. I don't know if anyone is interested. Becasue I cannot use all the bandwidth and I want to share with someone to lower the cost.

I am looking for 5 to 6 people who run tgp to share the server. I don't want to provide cgi and mysql and this will increase the tgp loading time a lot. But you can run php in the server.

My server config is:

Dell Server
Intel® Pentium III 1GHz w/256K Cache
1GB PC-133 SDRAM DIMMs;
36GB Ultra 3, 1 In, 10K RPM, SCSI Hard Drive.

Network:
Level 3
Qwest
Telseon

If there are enough people interested, we can share the 36GB HD, so everyone will get around 4.5-5 GB diskspace.

As for bandwidth, I hope people who share the server can buy at least 100GB per month. The price is $1.5/gig. Additonal bandwidth is the same. You don't have to pay the monhtly server cost, just pay how much bandwidth you use for. So the basic monhtly price s $150/month with 100GB transfer and 4.5-5 GB diskspace.

I doubt anyone will be wanting to run TGPs with no CGI or SQL support but good luck on that.. ;)

$1.50 per Gig was a good deal several months ago, not now. If you had rackshack type of server deal, I would be your man.

Well i think $1.50/GB is a fair price and is quite competetive compaired to many hosts in the industry. Personally i would much rather use a dell server then a raq but then again some guys prefer volkswagon over jaguar.

posting TGP galleries is closer to driving an Eastern Germany "Trabi" than Volskwagen, not to mention Jaguar, but well ... some people are able to send SE traffic to blind sponsors as well as to use Jaguar as pizza delivering van.
I would not touch a RAQ server, but you can check their sweet Duron deals ...
TGP posting is about per Gig price, if you can get better price, you will beat other people asses ... just because you can post 1 image more or larger pictures at the same price per posting.
1.5$ is very good but not the best you can get (compared with f.i. your packages) ;)

Thanks a lot. Yeah, I understand that $1.5/gig is not a very good price. I just talk to my ISP and if my server go over 500GB, they can give me $1/gig. So I hope it will make it more attractive.

You can get 50cent-$1/gig hosting at alot of places, and it's gona suck ass.
