What ISP's do you guys have over there? Im traveling to UK, France and Italy next week, and want to bring my laptop, but MSN doesnt have international numbers to dial into!!
Do you have urls of any ISP's that I can maybe join for a month while Im traveling in Europe? Here in the US I can get Earthlink, but they want to charge me 15 cents a min for when I go to Europe.
I need to stay connected to the internet for the month I am in Europe traveling, and want to know what the best way to do this is.
Internet cafe's have been suggested, but ftp and icq access will be limited.
What is the cheapest route for these 3 countries, or am I stuck paying 15 cents a minute with earthlink on top of their monthly fee?

well, im from sweden, so i really cant tell what isp exist in uk, italy or france, but i know that all the hardware stores in sweden are giving out free internet accounts. they arent actually free, you still have to pay the ordinary cost for the call but you dont have to pay some setup fee..
so thats my tip, check out the local hardware shops and see if they have a free accounts...

i use BT Internet, £15 or so/month, free phone internet connection 24/7.
We also have a ton of providers who do not charge a monthly fee, but require you to pay local rate for the call.
www.btinternet.com (http://www.btinternet.com)
www.uk2.net (http://www.uk2.net)
I also use BT Internet, they are reliable and for £15 a month you don't pay any call charges while you are in the UK
My ADSL connection should be installed very soon http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/smile.gif

Bone-
I hate to say it, but have you thought about AOL? They've got dial-up locations worldwide, and all it takes is a local call..
I've been using it when I travel.. but haven't tried it in Europe. Although I'm pretty sure they've got tons of dialup #s through AOL Europe there as well.

Looks like AOL may be the best option.
I will load earthlink here in the US, and have the dial in numbers written down, and I will load AOL in the UK. I will probably get the AOL cd out of a magizine in the UK and load the UK version of AOL.
I hope this is the best way to take my laptop to Europe and still stay connected.
Anyone know if the Internet cafe's in Europe have ftp access?
