If anyone is using paypal's SUBSCRIPTION service with the automatic notification, did you use their provided perl script?
If so, did it work? I installed it all and I receive data and confirm so the codes activate right away. Problem is the script is not writting the codes to the htpass file nor to the trans file.
Just wondering if it is me. Also if there was any other scripts out there for it.
Thanks.

I just found a script for $150 that looks decent. All automated.
Hell, by leaving IBILL, I will save $150 in my first day haha.
I really want to test paypal because I keep getting these fucking messages about people not being able to join with ibill and other 'things'.
Anyone using paypal for SUBSCRIPTIONS? I have used them for two years for regular stuff.

About this paypalwarning.com site:
"Your Paypal account can be frozen at any time, without advance notice leaving you without your money for weeks (if not forever), and there isn't much you can do about it. Paypal is currently being investigated by regulatory authorities in four states!"
Um, any merchant account can be frozen or revoked so nothing specific to paypal here. Comes down to doing PROPER business.
"Be warned that Paypal is not a bank and is not FDIC insured. In fact, if you read the Paypal terms of service, you will see that you can't even sue them should you have a legitimate claim."
Who ever said they were a bank? Is IBILL a bank? CCBILL? Also I can put anything I want in a terms/contract but if it is not LEGAL it does not matter. More garbage here.
"Any Paypal customer with a probem typically has an impossible time calling and talking to a real live person, and personal attention to electronic mail is virtually non-existent."
How about providing your own customer support for your OWN business. Again, those of us who run real businesses are satisfied.
"The client made the $10,000 deposit, but Paypal froze the account before I could completely withdraw the funds into our company checking account on record with Paypal, and an FDIC insured financial institution."
Let's see. You do $0 in business then all of a sudeen $10k comes in, a flag in an merchant business and you are surprised they hold it? This person obviously never did real volumes on their own merchant account. I used to get calls all the time from my merchant people about orders of decent size.
Bottom line: After looking at this site I concluded it was written by some young person with AT MOST experience in SMALL business. What he mentioned is how business is done and not enclusive to paypal at all. Fact is for those of us real business people, paypal is good. I don't need them to run my cusomter service department NOR would I want them to. Also what does where they outsource work have to do with anything? Yea, nothing.
1 last example of ignorance and associating it with paypal. A post from Backov:
"I sold a copy of Blitz through Paypal to a pirate - he immediately charged back as soon as he receieved it, and Visa of course let him.. There was nothing Paypal could do - pretty risky for my line of work, so I stopped using them."
This has NOTHING to do with PAYPAL and everything to do with VISA. Take my VISA today any method you want. I will take your item then chargeback. Visa is the bitch here. Especially for online 'virtual' products and services.

Gee funny, the same thing can happen with a merchant account. I know lots of people who lost their merchant accounts and thought they did nothing wrong. Fact is they did and just did not know it because they did not know/read all the rules and terms associated with it.
Did you know that if you have your own merchant account for a website and change your WORDING on the site you could be frozen and canceled?
It comes down to doing things according to 'business' rules.
But whatever, use them or don't. I have no problems or worries.

Always try to keep deposits under 10k because they have to be reported to the government. Hence the hold. All US banking.

How surprising, Sponsor post is currently also investigting paypal in relation to an upcoming case! Any information is welcome. It is far more dangerous for they buyer than the seller I so far find out, but my opinion may change as I hear more and more that they are a hazard for the sellers.
