As most of you prob been getting all this re: crap in your email like i do its gotten to be easy to delete the files.

Well now i just recieved a new one and this one does not show an attachment its loaded totally from the email body which is encoded. You might get this and since it has no attachment you might not realize if you get infected.

I just opend this shit and it audo loaded an MS DOS file called New_Napster_Site.MP3 but this file is not an MP3 its a system file which hides the real type and only shows the .MP3 extension. If you recieve a file with just re: and nothing else in the subject and no attachment beware.

Also remember to update your antivirus software ASAP to make sure your protected against this crap. Im sick of idiots running this shit who have my emails in their address books so im making everyone aware so hopefully i can cut down on this shit for all of us.

BTW it also uses totally forged headers from unknown (HELO aol.com) if that helps you to filter on mail servers ect.. because AOL does not use HELO they use EHLO. ;)

This year was the start of email body viruses pretty much. You really want an email reader that does NOT decipher html at all otherwise you will be hit guaranteed.

We should take those who make viruses and kill them.

Getting so easy these days to send viruses.

Bear in mind that in addition to the less-informed surfers ("idiots", according to your lexicon) having their address books misused, these viruses can also spread by searching a victim's browser cache sub-directories for "mailto:XXXX" addresses, and sending off their payload to any they find.

This is a cool little program that was suggested by PK. I downloaded it and it works great. Especially if you get a ton of virus emails a day.

Program looks like it might bee worth it for newbees but its to much hassle for me personally. I just dont accept anything with attached file unless it has a special subject to alert me its safe. ;)

I might miss an email someone sends me legit but least ill still have a working computer the next day.

hmm.. in 5 year period I got infected just once, and that happened thanks to fucked up Mcafee...

1. set up decent firewall
2. use latest antivurus stuff
3. regularly wipe out temp files.
4. don't use outlook

all it takes to be safe, lol
