I have some galleries getting good search engine traffic should i make them fpa's instead but if i do i will proably lose my top listings. I was thinking about redirection but i hear search engines frown on that now a days. Any Suggestions?

just delete the big pics, and redirect the 404-traffic.
[but not at fresh gallerys,tgp-owners hate this,if you are listed anywhere, dont delete it..hehe]

If you want you can keep the gallerys
and still redirect traffic that comes from
search engines to your sponser with htaccess
use this file surfers from tgp's will still
get the gallerys but if they come from a search engine there goto your sponser if you
want to send them to an fpa make it another
domian or it will make the htaccess file keep
going in a loop when the surfer clicks from the search engine

Hey bigdog I get a little search engine traffic to galleries but not much.
How do you manage it?
I cant put to many key or header words in cos it means extra html k which means slower loading.
As for what to do with the traffic link the pictures to downloadable dialer exe's http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/wink.gif
Evil but it might make money

if you built your galleries right then you should be getting signups from this traffic.
i don't change them because they are getting search engine traffic, thats more money for me.anytime i can get traffic from not submitting , i'm all for it, i get signups
from galleries i posted over a year ago.
maybe i'm wrong ,but thats how i do it.
You don't want to show SE traffic free stuff lol. Pop up a fpa right into their face. Otherwise you're leaving money on the table. SE traffic is hard to come by nowadays you shouldn't waste it unless you're sick of too much money.

bigdog if you use the htaccess file above
the search engine spider will see the gallery
but the search engine surfer your sponser
That's right in most cases but not 100 % secure. The SE might spend you another visit, from another IP, with another user agent (MSIE), from another referer, with average surfer settings for resolution and OS.
As an alternative you could put a 1600x1200 layer with "click here" above the whole page. I think the SE's do not recognize that yet.
All the referer/IP/user agent based stuff is not really secure. I think google doesn't like that sort of stuff, and they look for it. If a SE really cares, you simply can't trick them IMHO.
There is a guy, the first one to really spam google BTW, and he has no redirects at all. Just links such as "the part below is under construction, click HERE...". He has several dozen #1 pos. for top terms. Just search for hardcore sex or teen porn etc. in goggle and you'll see... I mean the one with the orbita.starmedia page.
