View Full Version : Anyone shifted to semi-dedicated from virtual on prohosters?
I have a bunch of domains and some cronjobs running cgi scripts, plus a couple of CJPro scripts, a couple of tgsw, all on prohosters virtual hosting. I need to shift to semi-dedicated. Is the shift painless or not without glitches?
Let me know if anyone's done this before!

i switched some domains this week - it was done without a glitch, and the domains are now doing better than ever...

... i do need to say that i didn't have any cronjobs or anything...
but don't think that'll be a real problem

Kanga, I even have a mysql database... I'm in morbid fear of everything messing up, but I'll have to do it soon. Anyone else moved a complicated setup?

it works without delay, but you have to change the cgi-phads.
i would move one by one,if there is much traffic, you could go to theyr irc,and it get done instantly.

I switched from semi to dedicated a couple weeks ago, painless, with cronjobs and everything, no MySQL DB's but several scripts and good traffic running around.
emjee,
What do you mean cgi-phads? Do you mean cgi paths? If you mean paths they should remain the same, shouldnt they?
