Blondy, Terrance11 - i NEVER asked questions like most of those. reason? i did some fucking research. i DID ask questions - i still do. but asking over and over for us to give them every technique while offering nothing back, and asking questions that could easily be found by reading threads that are still on page one of the board? i'm KNOWN for helping newbies, but if you won't do a minimum yourself, like reading stuff at ynot, or if you want me to tell you all my moneymaking schemes - taking up hours of my time for free - that's bullshit - in ANY industry. besides, if you're too lazy to try a few things or read a few articles, you are going to be too lazy to actually do anything.

D0b3rman, i play in two bands, have a fiance i live with, see my family, and paint - i have a life ;-) and have helped MANY newbies - almost ALL of whom demanded that i KEEP helping them while they made zero decisions on anything they did nor did they do research. several of them stole my layouts, as well. just a few went on to do their own thing, make money, and i respect them. i still help newbies - but now only if they're willing to help themselves as well!

We are not simply flaming people because they are newbies, we're flaming their lack of seriousness in becoming an adult webmaster. They think that you can just talk to someone over ICQ, and learn everything in a couple of hours. These are the people that give up and use hitbots. These are the people that steal designs. These are the people that spread hordes of horrible galleries through autosubmitters... I actually remember when I was a newbie. I at least had the intelligence to RESEARCH my ideas and the industry itself before asking questions...

If you say nothing but useless stuff than it won't help the newbie either. If a newb comes in here and asks what's the easiest and fastest way to make 100$ a day in this biz, most people will laugh and insult him, and yes he will end up getting hit bots, stealing designs blah blah.. so why not show him the right way, I truly believe that way there is less chances of that person becoming a corrupted dumbfuck webmaster that is STILL looking for the easy way to make money. If you make him see that theres money in the long run with LOTS of work than he might just go for that... but that is just my opignion you could all do whatever you wish, it only makes the adult biz worse than it already is.

they, being old head adultwebmaster, flame newbies such as myself or give mis-information b/c this business has an increasing bottleneck of true existence...based on raw survival moreso than greed. helping someone out with nothing in return from them (traffic, referral program etc) is the basis of why this industry is less flourishing...from the webmaster described above, to the changes in policy of a major tgp owner. it was one of the predominant webmaster resource places that said it best, that we will succeed in THIS biz with cooperation (amongst each other). so, ultimately, the above described webmaster is like Puffy...unable to handle some success, thus all (their traffic and this biz) will end with greed.

You know, basschick was right on the money with her post. Most newbies DON'T do ANY research. The proof is in that the same questions are asked on a daily basis. If you come in here asking simpleton questions such as at least half of the threads on this board alone, then you have NOT done any research. There are dozens of boards and even MORE resource sites out there with the knowledge for the taking. All you have to do is get off your fat, lazy asses and LOOK. You aren't gonna get the answers in a day, a week, or even a month. You have to WORK at it. The answer to just about every single question posted on this board alone can be found somewhere out there on another webmaster resource site. If you are too lazy to actually put in serious research time then quite frankly you don't deserve to be helped. I spent many months reading and testing and reading and testing and reading some more before I started posting questions. I read at least a half dozen webmaster boards a day, as well as some of the webmaster news sources. I am always looking for new information, but generally I do it myself. Asking someone how to do something every step of the way, looking for that magic secret formula and other things such as are constantly being asked for do NOT exist! The only TRUE secret is what works for YOU, not what works for someone else. You will hear this all the time and just maybe someday it will sink in. The only one who will make YOU money is YOU and your willingness to put forth the incredible effort required to make the money that can be had in this business.
