OK, I'm new at this so don't flame me for looking like a buffoon.

I set up a new adult site-- it runs on my own server with dedicated commercial-grade 'net connections. It has original content (many of the pics I took myself) and several "specialized" fetish areas. There is a webmaster program (through ibill) that pays 10% of the signup revenue and 10% of renewals monthly as long as the referal remains a member.

Here's my problem: I made all of my forecasts on having at least 100 paying members. I currently have six. Where do I go from here? I have everything set up and don't know what to do next.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Aerosly
Webmaster: http://www.ArianaInterface.com

Um honestly whould you pay $15 a month for that?

Considering whats out on the market your lucky to have 6 members its very low grade.

Just my $.02

Objectively:
Your design is extremely unprofessional. If you've sunk some cash into the server/content, sink some more into a good design.

I personally wouldn't want to burn bandwidth promoting something that is probably going to convert somewhere in the ten-thousands.

Certainly not for a lousy $1.50

first off, the industry standard for webmaster payment splits is 50% with many programs offering 60%, so if you are counting on webmasters to sell ANY site for you, you better offer at least the low normal in the industry.

your site is not visible in netscape with java off - why would you want a site to be invisible to surfers?

the price is too low for webmasters to bother with even at 50% - and it has been proved time and again that low price is not a buying incentive unless it's under $10.

you have NO sales pitch on your page at all - you don't tell the surfers what they might get for their $15 - just a list that goes by on a marquee.

you should probably invest a few hundred dollars (maybe mike007 will give you a deal) on a good promo if you want to sell. otherwise you are just wasting your time and money. it is THE worst paysite splash page i've ever seen, and i've been in this business for 6 years.

also if you took those pics, you must legally as the producer have the custodian of records info on the site for the authorities.

and last, take off the "gift shop". your promo should focus on only one thing - selling memberships. don't have any leaks.

$1.50 per sign-up and for each recurring month? You have got to be kidding, right?

But on the plus side, atleast it is 10% before the cc processor charges are taken out.

Still better then $1 per email signup but waste of traffic to make that $1.50

"Not just teens like other sites advertise, but real, true, authentic 13-19 year-old TEENAGERS?"

And why is this post still up? Am I missing something?
1.) site design sucks, most freesites look better than your paysite

2.) loading takes to long, donīt use java this sucks

3.) learn from the best, have you ever visited toher paysites, ??? learn from them and how they do it

4.) agree with the others - 10 % sucks totally you should pay at least 50 % Think like a webmaster which promotes yours site not like a owner

5.) ibill sucks, didnīt you read the board, ibill got big probs using CCBill will be better

6.) remove your leave button

7.) use Text that sells

8.) the surfer really have to think if he looks at your site that there can be nothing inside witch in 15 USD worth, honestly not even 5 USD

9.) Calculate low, like on ever 1000 people one will signup, to get 100 each month you will need 100.000 hits per month, this is lot for a paysite

10.) ever thought from where the traffic shall come ??? - I donīt know a TGP a link site which will list a site like that

11.) sorry the stuff was not very freindly but its the truth,

Gees, you guys don't go easy on the newbies, do ya?

Many thanks to all of you who posted helpful replies. I will have some web designers look over my site and I will browse other sites for ideas as well. I want to make this site work somehow.

Like I said, I'm new at this kind of thing. The technical aspect of getting a site up and running from scratch (no servers, no software, nada, zip, zilch) was so overwhelming I guess I let it eclipse the importance of good web design.

I will also work on the webmaster referral program.

Once I get the site redesigned, then what do I do? How do I advertise? How do I get real traffic to my site?

loose the nifty java applets and I didnt stay
long enought to see if you had CP, but if you
do, you will be raked over the coals
Your Wrote "Gees, you guys don't go easy on the newbies, do ya? "

this was the easy stuff
In your case I would go for free site, even with proper design and proper payout to webmasters its fuckin hard to get refferals

at start you canīt afford to pay per signup and this is what we like most

I've webmastered before ( www.TheZootSuit.com ) but never for an adult site. I hope to learn a lot from this experience.
