I think most people would like to hear some kind of announcement from them before relying on them for sites at this point.
People need to know (from the horses mouth), why the server went down, and what measures are in place to stop it happening again.

Trust has to be rebuilt when server downtime occurs. And unfortunately for Kinghost, trust is the most important part of webhosting.

Jason.

I know the story Jon :)
But if it's ever to get back on it's feet, then THEY need to make some kind of announcement. Not rely on the story being spread via word of mouth.

Obviously, since you are direct competitor.

Our members are being emailed with the full story as we speak. Announcement and explainations are available at this url: http://www.kinghost.com/downtime.html

Quick note: we are bannerless for 2 weeks

ahhh I just saw that you closed triplexfreehosting.com and redirected all traffic. Nevertheless, you are hosting sexhost4free and freesexhosts, so obviously you aren't unbiased.

Thanks for the kind words Jason & Rodent, you are real gentlements :)

triplexfreehosting.com was MY freehost and its my company who hosts the other two freehosts jon is a mate he is not an employee and never has been so please do not say things you dont know as its misleading

and this problem as someone said could have happened to anyone which is not true is this case the reason this happened was because of kinghosts hosting company they are wreckless iddiots and they caused this because of that very thing

ok i'm out. good luck kinghost on getting back online fingers crossed your host learnt there lesson but sadly they most likely havnt

peace out

"To prevent such a situation from happening again, we will have our OWN network setup in the next few days/months (this is a rather long process). This time, we won't do business with third-party providers, and thus won't experience anymore troubles (that are out of our control)."

very good dan :) you guys will do good away from your host once again good luck guys you did it once you can do it again :)

Hey keep my ducks out of this, ok?

Ok then if I'm wrong I apologize, the fact is the same person owns the domains xxxhostit.com , globalwebpromotions.com , and triplexfreehosting.com . In my head it means it's run by all the same people.. Anyway it means one of your guys doesn't own his domain name(s), you should check this out.

Ohh well yes anyway we were planning on buying the hardware needed, we've just been fucked too soon, that's all. Yes they did a lot of errors, but we were not the only ones to stay with them (bigger clients still trusted them), so we were not alone to make the bad decision.

If you were refering to my email it is because hotmail sucks and doesn't allow file attachments so helis set me up with a pop on his domain...

No well I mean the whois infos for both domains are the same, besides the company name & the email address.

But anyway I apologize I made quick assumptions about you. Good think is all this discussion is keeping the thread up there! :D

hehe dan its funny you mentioned the triplexfreehosting.com or what ever it is as a freehost which is was but the funny thing was we actually had that on your hosts network as it was just a side project but suprise suprise the hardware failed good old myles and he couldnt fix it and we never got the data back

get onto your own setup asap dan believe me we heard the way your host got back online was somewhat temp and that cogent could snath that bw at any time

but out of all of this i am so happy that those iddiots are out of exchangecolo for good :) the management wont be letting them back in anytime soon :)

ok hope this helps keep the msg up dan :) *grin*
