My RB2 just died or something!

Um, it's not my database. I just tried to restore it. There are no number or websites anywhere... You click on traffic, no numbers at all, one 0 by "clicks" i went to my database, its completely empty... What the fuck happened? It was working fine about 8 hours ago.

Yeah ... It happened to me too ... The only way - to backup the domains on your pc or in your head :-)

Hmm, I have a backup of my database... How can I access that? I mean, my script still works fine and everything, its sending out traffic and all... I just cant restore my database for some reason... is there a way I can view that database backup file and reinsert all the sites manually? I dont understand why it won't restore, my DB has been deleted before, and I could just restore, but that's not working...

Even when I add a new domain, nothing happens. It doesn't show up in my database...

Well i had a simulair post several weeks ago..
Some say it cant happen when your host server is overloaded.
So after i added a new trade partner i always made a backup, sometimes 5 times a day.
But when my Backups are crashes/deleted/gone or whatever i switched to another script.
Im using now cj*ltra free (yeah yeah i know) but this script works better. Its PHP but okay. I run it now almost 1,5 week without problems.

However i switch over to the X-3 traffic trader pro script shortly..

Maybe you dont use last upgrade .. ask Run and I am sure he will assist U..
Me personally running 3 websites with rb2...
Dont remember when I had problems with DB.
Most of our free hosted sites using last upgrade and no one complains.. By The Way if anybody still does please let us know by email system@dieselspace.com

Jeff, that is what happens when you get a dedicated server for FREE and pay just about 10-20 bucks for data transfer per month. From what i have heard this is definately not the script problem you are talking about.

Get good hosting.

I have had old versions of r&b2 running on my server since r&b2 came out and the only crash i have ever had was hosting related.

run, I never said it was the script's problem... I just wanted to know why I couldnt even add a new domain or restore my database... Actually, my dedicated server is only free because I am good friends with the owner... and I have 6 sites on it which run alot more than $20 of bandwith..

the subject My RB2 just died or something kind of gave me a clue it was script related. As i said before, talk to your host. Being unable to add a domain or restore database usually means the script is unable to write data to disk. In most cases RB2 gives an informative err message, if you dont see that, make sure the drive is not full.
