They are good people.

Their servers are fast.

ok I moved 5 machines there about 2 weeks ago

moves always a pain in the ass but they set the boxes up right away no hassles, the tech staff know their stuff and they're on ICQ which is good

the bandwidth seems to be pretty good, probably as good or better than where I moved from (but less than half the price!), its fast as hell from UK anyway which makes working on shell less of a pain in the ass so and no noticeable downtime yet, so far I'm really happy and I'm preparing to move the rest of my stuff there right now

We just currently moved 3 servers to them and are very pleased . As we have 10 plugins and about 40 live cams we were worried about the move . But they had me up and running in no time . I needed 1 server up and runing within 3 hours yesterday and they had it done before 2 hours . Thanx Like Whoa !

Whoever thinks that they are bad must be:

1) Drunk
2) Stoned
3) Fucked up
4) All of the above.

They are a GREAT host and the support is even better. There "might" be places with a better deal (I doubt it) but they will take forever to set you up and they will never answer your questions!

LikeWhoa is different. Not only do you get a great fast server, and great price, but you also get great support.

My 2 cents.

Go for it dude.

I have been with Like Whoa for quite a while now.

Having been in the industry for since 1996, I have been through a LOT of hosts. All I can say it they can handle all the bandwidth you can throw at them, they have kick ass rates, top notch customer server, and shit, they are great guys.

You CAN'T do any better than them. At least, out of the 10 hosts I have tried in the past, they kick all THEIR asses. I can't say enough good things about a kick ass company. It seems they are few and far between these days.

I made the mistake of hosting here before. I ordered a server.
Got a server with different specs.

If you actually know what you are talking about, you can easily detect that none of their techs do. And if that isn't enough you may want to look on GFY from a few months back when they were terminated from level3 for nonpayment and were forced to vacate their datacenter and move to another. Every few weeks they are on a new carrier, they were originally level3, then level3 & att, then verio & level3 then they get thrown out of level3, then they are verio only, then they are verio & qwest, now no more qwest. we'll see how much longer their verio account lasts. I've heard lots about financial problems, and their spokesman "Nick" has to learn a lesson about good PR.

http://www.gofuckyourself.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=41049&perpage=50&pagenumber=3

That thread has some interesting information showing the 'true colors' of them. I started it at page 3 because thats when it starts to get interesting, but for the whole story, read from page 1.

$tanDaMan and Tukhman are the LikeWhoa owners.

I've been hosted with likewhoa for over a year, I also had Jenna Jameson get a server with them.
The service is awesome, I met everyone from the company at the shows and they rock. I recommend LikeWhoa to everyone. My hosting bill went from $1,078 a month to less than $300 when I switched.

Nick
We have major problems, my server has been down now 12 hours due to DNS problems, no one is around. Looking at the inside via telnet at the first server you setup the other day, looks like it is only 256 megs of ram, i was promised 512 via phone and icq ..here is that icq:

"it's 866 with 512 ram... i'll send you an order form in few... just sign it and fax it back to me."

Then looking over the order form for the new dell, i was promised a dual processor with 1 gig of ram, looks like the one stan is now saying i am getting is PIII 733 single processor, with 256 ram and still charging the same $400.

I do thank you for helping out of the bind with moving locations, but it has turned out worse, i have lost alot of traffic $$ and webmasters, and not getting what i originally agreed to pay for. moose@netpond.com

Right. We do have you on file.

And yes, you are correct about the hardware being not what it is.

However, I would think that someone who resells bandwidth, let me mention, on behalf of PhatServers would know better then to just defame competition through an anonymous name.

If you want, I can post copies of e-mails where it's coming directly from you.

I think PhatServers just does not like competition.

I will await for your resposne

Mr. Moose
