They are connected through level3 which are cheap and good. A buck a gig is wrong of course. No way that you can use 320 GB over a capped 1 MBit line. So the price is more like $1.5 per gig, still cheap. And they look like a bit like built overnight and gone overnight. Page done with Frontpage templates etc..

it may not be too good to be true. we are on a t1 for $600, which isn't that much more... and fart, i believe a t1 is a 1.5 mbps line, and you can get pretty much 500 gig out of it.

I was talking about traffic peaks and lows. I know what 1 MBit and what a T1 is. At least I thought so http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/smile.gif You would need to run at almost exactly 1MBit all the time to get your 320 GB out of a 1 MBit line. And if you're running at 1 MBit and it's capped chances are your server is extremely slow already (if he shares the bandwidth over all requests instead of blocking additional surfers) because you most likely already got more than 1 MBit then.

But I'm not a bandwidth scientist. At maxim my 1 MBit peaked at 2.5 MBit when I was listed at al4a. Now how the hell can 2,5 MBit go through a capped 1 MBit line? Wasn't it capped at all or am I missing something. The server was slow as HELL when I was at 2,5 MBit. I couldn't even login for half an hour.


And the buckagig guy mentioned on gfy that you can put more than 320 through their capped 1MBit line? WTF?

it's more like 500 I believe,

1024 KBit/s = 128 KByte/s

128 KByte/s x 3600 (s) x (24 (h) x 30 (d) = 331.776 GB

331.776 GB x 1.54 = 510.93 GB

Or, if a MBit is meant to be 1,000 KBit instead of 1,024 KBit like the example above then it's

324 GB x 1.54 = 498.96 GB

Both for 30 days

However, cheap if reliable etc...
