Most free hosts dont allow cgi-bins due to server load. please post the host if you find one though...

I would advise you to use mycgiserver.com but I think it is a german free cgi-service.

Thanx alot CyberDruid! I was thinking of free servers with .cgi more in a way to use it for an auto-submit tgp program... http://adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/wink.gif so since tgp traffic is better then CJ traffic most free servers are able to give you a cgi-bin directory if you can give them at least 10k/day... But thanx again for these host, I didn't find them yet...

You can only use the cgi-space from that servers. That should be OK.

ya, I have my own server, but the script I got has to be on the server where the galleries are, and I don't want to pay for the 50k/day of traffic it will generate (lots of bandwidth)...

Is there a way to start a new CJ site on a free host like Porncity but still use a CJ script, now that Traffic Trade is no longer accepting new accounts? I'm not just being cheap and cautious, I already have a PC house and could most easily feed traffic from there to jump-start a CJ site. Or is the free host generally a bad idea (slow load? no possibility to use scripts?)?

And how much trouble is it to switch hosts once a CJ site is doing decent traffic (10k+)?

Just trying to understand this rather complicated biz before jumping in -- thanks for any well-meaning advice.

There isn't enough margin in traffic trading to be able to do it on a free host. The top/bottom banners on the free host take roughly 5-10% of your traffic. This leaves you at a shortfall without enough traffic to repay your trades.

Additionally most free hosts don't allow consoles as they interfere with their advertising.

i used to use web1000.com a year ago when i was starting my first porn site. They give CGI access, but my point is that using free server for a CJ site is a stupid moove.
For CJ site you need 99.9% server uptime and free host cant deliver that. I see no way to run a successful CJ site on free server sorry... =)

run, like I said earlier in this thread, it is not to run a CJ site, it's to place my tgp galleries on it, so it won't cost me the big amount of bandwidth that tgp traffic brings...

You can get a unlimited bandwidth account with eythan.net for 50meg $100. I use them for TGP spamming, good deal and can handle 50k a day

Likwid Blaze: dont be cheatin yourself and find a good host for a good price! That will always pay of. Bein on a free host means 2-4 times less hits, and 2-4 times less income. Come on, what do you expect to spend on a host per month? $500, $1000??? OK make it $2000, but in that case you will earn $10000 or more! Free host is gona waste your time and efforts, freeze your bussiness and fuck with your patience. And if your traffic is unproductive, the host will just kick your butt out of the server the very next day after your site gets rollin over 30K... A free host also charges $$$ from you, only in a bit different way and most of the times its 5 times as much as a pay host

PS and using only the CGI of the host is just killing your site before its even born... Plus i seriously doubt if theres a program that can do the TGP management on a different domain than the main script is on... In any case its just the matter of time: your site gets kicked out sooner or later

ok run, one more time... like I said I will NOT have any sites on the free host, I will not use it to make direct money, if I get my butt kicked out of the server I just don't give a shit cuz I'll lost nothing. I'm now using a script (an auto tgp submitter) that, when run on my server (pay host), can upload images and create galleries directly to a free host... so I don't need anymore a free host that offer cgi access, I just want this free host so I can save the bandwidth that comes when you submit to tgp's... so for me I don't really need anymore that thread, but many people were (are) interested in knowing good free host that give cgi access, so if this thread can help anyone, it will have do the job...
