TGP question

I've looked at a lot of tgp pages and no one seems to use target=_blank
Is there a reason for that? Can't see it mentioned in the rules anywhere. Is it ok to use it?

like al4a as an example.

you have your tgp page with all the buttons etc..then a surfer arrives - clicks on the button and splat your site is gone - they're now at the tgp link list

if I'm linked to several tgp's on the one page I'd like the surfer to click the button and open a new page - and my page stays there for them to come back to.

I hate traffic leaks

all the tgp pages I've looked at open over the original page like a target=_top

Is this this the norm? I haven't seen it in any rules anywhere

On the TGP's I run, I use target="_new" on the links themselves.

When posting, most if not all, TGP's do not allow any target tags on the galleries.
