View Full Version : Paypal - How do i add a debit card?

im given the choice of adding a debit or credit card. however, now matter how hard i try, i cant get it to work.

i enter in my number (XXXXXX XXXXX XXXXXX), the expiry, but it keeps saying wrong credit card number, no matter how much i change it around.

It also gives the choice of debit or credit card, and then turns around and gives you the option of adding a visa or mastercard...

has ANYONE been successful in adding a debit card? (im in canada, but that shouldnt make a difference)

They will send you a pin number in 4 days and you then can send from your credit card

i dont have a credit card and cant get one. is there anyway i can just add a debit card?

i've set up a debit card before, but not in canada (they have weird debit cards there. when i was there they wouldn't accept my mastercard logo'd debit card as a debit card. anyways..)

is your card really 19 digits? i think those can still follow the standard checksumming, but it's a pretty unusual length. what i'm guessing is that you should only enter the first 16 digits there, and then the 3 remaining go into another box.. i forget which one.

Id call the paypal tech support if I were you to make sure it goes properly.
