Someone i know is being hotlinked by this person...are you on here?

he says his thumbs are protected by htaccess by the gallery itself can still be pulled

any suggestions?

I have just found this prick in my stats. This MF is still hotlinking thousands of galleries, most of them on pay hosts.
About time to send a ping of death.

If their galleries can be hotlinked to then they are not using htaccess correctly is what I would assume. There should be no way for a non-valid referrer to access those galleries.

i've spent about an hour going through those images and have been emailing people about their pics being hotlinked

this site should definately be shut down

but i do have to say that i'm surprised that so many people (including some freehosts) do not use an htaccess file
