how to download a whole dir with ftp

Hi,

I want do download a dir from my website. In this dir are more dirs. Totally something like 2.500 files.

But when I try to download them with ws ftp or ciute ftp, every time after 1 or 2 dirs it stops and freezes.

Any suggestions?

does the program freeze or does the server timeout?

I had the problem of "freezing" with cuteftp sometimes.
try flash fxp (search at cnet or so), its the most stable program I know.

try turning on OR off "passive transfer mode"
