has anyone here just said "to hell with online check transactions" in regards to their pay site???
i mean, am i just overeating???
these fucks are coming to my site and not having funds in their account. they get instant access and i get no dough! fuck that!
ibill can keep their check processing. banks are instantly online now....at least most that i know of are. i.e. paychecks don't have to clear at my bank since they (my bank) are all online. one would think these funds can be deducted then the chronic masturbators can see the site!!!
someone, please, talk some sense to me.
for this makes no sense to me.
the site i'm referring to is very niche...a niche that hasn't happened yet, trust me. i can't have this shit of theft.

Around 30% of this checks get rejected,so i have anyway 70% left, thats the most important point for me.
anyway,i hate this rejects, and maybe i change the ibill-hmf-page,and mail the passes out,if the check has cleared against 1 week (so no instant access;-)
currently i delete onlinecheck-passes,if the signup-mail bounced back.
my 0.02 cents

LOL
you are free to accept online-checks.
if you are willing to lose the left 70% checksignups who get cleared, shot this billing-option down.
sounds like you got your first reject today..lol

Not only that, but last month I had a much higher percentage of online check rebills than credit cards. I can deal with that http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/smile.gif

checks and ACH are NOT the same thing.
You take CHECKS online and they may come back up to 7 days later. ACH is NOT the same thing and hasn't been standardized as of yet.
Currently the only thing your CHECKS processor can do is scrub them against know initial fraud patterns, maybe you should ask your processor if they do...
checks should increase your business by 10-15% http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/smile.gif as a NET increase...

In comparison CCBill handles checks fine. http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/smile.gif

Thanks for the compliment shunga, we try but since the standard being used is checks instead of ach there's still no real time guarantee that it will be there -- one of the things we have started doing not long ago is moderately fraud scrubbing on check transactions -- can't say exactly how we are doing it but it's brought the overall keeper percentage up a decent amount http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/smile.gif

emgee,
must be my first today??
get real!
my masters is in marketing. i'm not some guy that thinks my boner can run a site = no reason to be unreasonable.
i see a pattern with checks = more than one
sure, %'s, whatever.
i have tons of movies.
can anyone say bandwidth???
i'm driven to resolved this shit, not freaked out. i personally think is BS and no-one should put up with it.

I actually had to talk a friend of mine into using checks with CCBill after his experience with them with IBill. http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/wink.gif

Don't use IBill to process checks. Use CCBill as your backup processor and have them handle checks, too.

hmmm, ok, that's a thought
any other ccbill check opinions/experieces by non-ccbill employees? i mean real dealings with...this isn't a War of the Worlds post.
thanks

i made the necessary calls and here's the result for anyone interested in knowing.
do you have the option of holding back the login/pass until the check clears? (mind you, the equivalent of rare sites that mail-out login/pass)
Ibill: "No"
GloBill: something they are anticipating to do for webmasters
CCbill: "well, it CAN be done"

ya know....like CC's are so fucking rare these days....
every single one of those check fraud fuckers must have 2-3 cc's.
whew! felt sooo good....wiping away the online check section as i did this morning. my bandwidth was even relieved, like a goat from www.barnyardfucking.com (http://www.barnyardfucking.com)

can be done yes --
HOWEVER -- from a marketing standpoint -- the % of people that you will lose as a valid join if they have to wait a week to get into the site would probably offset any reason to even accept checks.
Checks should be looked at as an additional source of revenue and the retention rates factored into your margins.
Another little tidbit -- check people rebill more times than credit card people... and they don't cause as many customer service issues...

i was not trying to offend you in any way;-)
i showed you an way,to be more safe.chargebacks can allways happen later, but wait till the check cleared, before you give this online-check-members access to your site/bandwith.
how you can do this?
change the hmf-page at ibill(this is the page, new members get against paying the bill) for your online-check-signups,so the new members write not theyr own password in your passfile, and they get not instant access.
write at your hmf-page,you have this feature disabled, and they should mail you with subscription/transaction-numbers,and you do the pass manually.
-----
i agree at this check-point with ludedude, checks make money!

Emgee, How many surfers do you think will signup with a check and then e-mail the transaction info to the webmaster, then have to wait to get a password? not many at all... they are horny now and want to see the porn now.
My experience with checks on ibill has been good, I only get about 1:20 check signups to credit card signups and nothing bad has happened with the check signups, they rebill too.

crunch--the surfers signed allready up,if they get the message with the the extra-mail;-)

ugh..i hited the "submit reply"-button to fast..lol
i don't use this method myself,since i don't care much about this revokes anymore,i loose only energy,and i can't change it anyway.
important for me is the result at the end from the month, and this result says,i have to provide the surfers with this signup-option,or i loose 10% from my income.
thrillseekre--""sounds like you got your first reject today""--i was really pissed,as i got my first revokes/chargebacks(like you now)..lol...this was the reason i posted it;-)

emgee,
i realize.
i'm got beyond the initial pinch the fist time it happened. what drove me now to end that check crap (at least until i find another check solution) was having 2 in less than 7 days.
i'm in this to take chances, not get taken for a ride. i know when it's time to get off...and possibly when to get back on.
i'm really thinking about this CCbill doing checks only, and ibill for the rest.
are all CCbill reps talking like it's a phone sex line or is it just the one i ended up with?
*Kimmykim*

ROFL, dare I ask what made you think of phone sex when you were on the phone with our csr???
thrillseekre
08-02-2001, 01:28 PM
it's hard not to
it was the way she was talking to me
i mean, i guess, whatever sells, you know?
i use to do csr for Spirit Cruises when i was 19. i was on the phone all day...
i know what i'm talking about. my sexual matured voice i imagine added to it...mind you, on my end, it's just the way i sound. some say "did i wake you?"..."you sound high"
nah, you're csr was intentionally being sexually suggestive. it's ok...who knows...i just may sign with you guys to check you out. and maybe we can all get together on top of some conference room tables and do some extensive csr training
