i want to connect both of my computers together to share my ADSL connection. Do i need just 2 ethernet cards for both of the computers to connect or do i need a hub or router also. How does it all connect? and finally do you recommend any certain brand of hardware?

also my adsl modem is external so i have it plugged into an ethernet card right now.

Bitz,

You will need 1 extra ethernet card for your other computer and a hub to connect the 2 computers to the internet. Furthermore you must plug the ADSL modem into the hub as well using an utp cross-cable.
There is more involved than the above but this will give you a start :-)
