Hotmail doesn't scan viruses?

Hotmail doesn't scan the virus in the mail worm everything have?

I switched to hotmail just for that, and I'm getting thousands of them in my box now

What hotmail does is scan attachments for viruses using mcafee. When you go to open an attachment, it scans it and will not allow you to open it if virus is found.

It misses them sometimes though. I've started to download an attachment before, that hotmail says is ok and Norton antivirus finds as it's downloading to the temp file.

If the emails you are getting have similar subject lines or authors, you can set up filters in hotmail to delete them or send them to a particular folder.

There is also a junkmail protector but I've never used it so I'm not sure how it works.
