with all the problems that ibill is having lately - you ever wonder how much is being shaved to their benefit??
after all there would be no real way to know - what customers actually canceled, rebilled, or even charged back ?
for anyone in the biz for a while - you ever hear of DMR ??? at one time the largest processors in this biz - and they ended up fucking everyone - even heard that people like cybererotica got fucked for about $3 million or so
so my suggestion is everyone put pressure on ibill - call their toll free number and make them sweat :) 1-888-237-1764

A post like that demands evidence. ;) I have no reason to think that IBill shaves, either paysite owners or affiliates, and therefore there's no reason to bug them.

my point exactly - there is NO REAL WAY TO KNOW :) just take their word for it? no independant audit ability? i'm sure they not going to let anyone open their books to show the numbers match exactly
and since they are not a public company the only way to make sure they are in balance and right - is everyone that uses them to keep them honest by communication

I have no idea about Ibill shaving itself but i have heard that some big partnership programs have learned a way to shave some signups off referring webmasters.

You have to put facts on the table, otherwise you're dealing in empty rumors, and that's just a waste of time.

Ridiculous.
And just exactly how would iBill add users to my members section, not pay me for their signup, and have me not notice?
It is not iBills fault your traffic sucks and gets you no signups.

labret is right, they can't shave the paysite..
they have access to their member's list..
they see 5000 members, get paid only for 4500, then there's a problem..
can't do that.

let me just point out that dmr (about 4 years ago - one of the largest billers) also started saying the same words and same 'system' and 'upgrade' problems as ibill is currently saying - in less than 2 months it went from this to completely gone / shut down and many people lost their entire rebill base and had to either shut the doors or start over from scratch
now - i'm not saying that is what is going on here - i just am saying to everyone - keep an open eye to the situations

it would be easy to get this rebill problem fixed and to "lose" some rebills. if the webmaster was really involved and caught it, they could say it was a mistake.
they could also "lose" a rebill for 1 out of 10 people that cancelled after the rebill. very few webmasters with over 200 members would notice.
for that matter, they could easily hold the rebill money till the problem is fixed and use it for a short-term project of their own.
i am not saying this is happening - but i am saying that having stats is what keeps us informed and part of what they make their percentage off our money for is supplying stats.

Bottom line:
No member gets in without paying. If Ibill tells us the customer did not pay and bills them, well kudos to them but that user still does not get access.
Fact is, problems arise especially when dealing with the volume IBILL does. I am sure if they had just a couple crappy webmasters with 100 members, their systems would run themselves just fine.
This whole topic is created from someone who is evidentally mad at Ibill for whatever reason and hope to stir up false claims. Perhaps it is best not to use them if you do not like their service.
Ibill, like any other processor, has had their share of problems.
Next time you think it is a good idea to post about a reputable company, perhaps some evidence is in order. Simply pointing to what another company did shows a complete lack of argument supporting your claims.
Idea: Start your own processor and do it 'your' way. No use griping about others if you can do it better yourself.

Well it is like this! IBILL has to many accounts and the rebill machines cant handle it is what i get from my conversation with them they said they are fixing the matter as they have 90,000 transactions behind.. so they need more machines is the problem.. they dont shave! they just are biting more then they can chew Type-0-Deal..
They are the most solid paying biller out their they just got to big to fast- Meaning 1000's of pay sites were added this year.
my 5 cents..

Ibill use windows. Not exactly renowned for uptime. That probably accounts for the 'backlogs'.
As far as shaving's concerned. I should imagine any cc processor could easily pull it off if they set their mind to it.

mayorx - agreed completely - they are the most stable - and i hope they remain that way :)

Ibill itself is interested to bill as much as possible, since they get a share.
hickups happen everywhere, and i see since days the rebills catching up slowly.
we can't change anything if we bitch the whole day;-)
