1) fair play to the guy, its a pretty novel idea.

2) will it work? I doubt it will generate much, as your dont get anything extra, nor do you have to pay to get exactly the same

3) "help us, we need your money to survive" is an age old sales phrase, doesn't mean he aint making good money with the site at the moment.

One thing, its perhaps another example of the "TGP Owner God Complex" - is he giving any of that money to the people who submit content to his site, the people who ACTUALLY supply the "100% free" content for his site?

I dont think they can make a lot using this "tactic".. most surfers who visit easypic also know other tgps so they are not in need of "letting them survive".

He could make the design more professional was well but it sure is more "trustworthy" as it is now.

Well his site is doing just fine as he sells top gallery spots for 1-2 k per mo, and i think he sells many of these gallery spots, now trying to get the surfer to pay as well i bet he is racking in the cash..

by no means is he hurting..

years ago, there was a tgp that used adultcheck for his entrance. i have no idea how that worked out for him.

easypic has lots and lots of surfers, and it wouldn't take an enormous percentage of them buying for him to make bank.
