Ok, I am trying to start a movie pay site. I bought some DVDs with a licence from un-named company who pissed me off, because I spent a fortune on those fucking DVDs and now I found out that I can only take screen fucking shots and not even capture a 10sec clips from it. So I spent another day researching online a place where I can buy nice quality 30 minute movies, and didn't find any. Why is it so fucking hard to buy content? There is like 1000s of content providers out there and noone has quality videos. Someone please help.

Why don't you just buy a DVD player and capture the video. Once it is captured, then capture every second for your screen grabs. Pretty simple stuff. Hopefully it is licensed content for web use. If not, just watch them and beat off....money well spent...

The licence here is the problem. Not the vidoes, there are tons of DVDs out there that can be ripped illegally. But I need to buy DVDs with licence that will let me rip videos from it. And as I learned, there is noone out there that provides that :(

The only thing you can do with those DVDs
is watch em at home and have a bat. Without
mpeg compression you are gonna be stuck.
The time you spend editing video even if you had the licence would take so long and it would be cheaper for you to buy more.
You will also find that you have a hundred
cuts which look like the same scene.
The time it takes to play, capture, save, edit, save, compress then save.

Better off to just buy then upload.
