Lol, i just watched the interview with Christian Amanpour and Rabbani leader of the norther alliance.

And he said, they will send some people to europe as symbol , but if any peace talks are to be done , they will be done in Afganistan and that is obviously not going to happen , so he said basically " we hold on to power".

This is cracking me up. They used the US to get rid of Taliban and now they dont seem to want any one else involved in the government?
LOL...

Powell now says, the Northern Aliance was almost as bad as the Taliban if not worse. So if they don't go on to share the government with others ... "The bombing campaign will continue".

Meaning this time the Northern Aliance will be the enemy.

AHHAHAHAHA... this is pathetic.

I remember exactully President bush saying "We are not going there for nation building " "getting rid of taliban and alqueda"...

whatever happened to that?

This is a joke.

If anything,
This is going to start a civil war
between the Northern Aliance and The pashtoons, meaning putting afganistan in to a civil war for the next god knows how many decades.

That does sound disturbing if that is what they really plan.

Wanting the discusions to take place in afghanistan doesn't mean there won't be a power sharing though I think.

If the northern alliance has plans to double cross the US it could be that they will end up with NO power. (I think the demonstration of US power is TOO recent for them to make this sort of mistake though)

The pashtuns will have to have a say in the new government since they are the majority and northern alliance is a minority.

I don't think playing the US is going to be an option. Irag is next and the coalition will fall apart (More than it might) if northern alliance is allowed to dominate afghanistan. For this reason alone expect this not to happen. They may be able to beat the taliban (With our help) I think even THEY know that opposing the US right now not an option no matter what they are saying.

PS christian amanpour is an arab supporter and has shown her true colors again and again. Not that THIS proves it or anything but she has proven herself anti isreali and pro arab over and over again when I watch her.

Watch news thats fair and balanced. FOX NEWS ;)

CNN sux ;)

"If the northern alliance has plans to double cross the US it could be that they will end up with NO power. (I think the demonstration of US power is TOO recent for them to make this sort of mistake though)"

Remember, without northern aliance, the US couldn't have done dick all against the taliban. They could have bombed the hell out of them, but never over throw them without the groundpower.

If/When the Northern Aliance and US get in a conflict, unless US plans to send in massive ground troops who are we going to get to fight the northern aliance?

And if that does happen, the entire world would spit at the US reputation, because they would think that the war was obviously not against the Taliban or ElQueda "if" that was to happen.

Secondly Christian Amanpour is from Iran. So obviously she will be loyal and she is one of the most respected reporters in the world. So i doubt she would have that reputation if she was a all out pro-arab and anti-isralie.

Thank you. We're all refreshed and challenged by your unique point of view. However, any connection between your reality and fact is purely coincidental.

Where the fuck do you come up with this "we" crap? You are not a resident or citizen of the USA so how do you get off associating yourself with us?

For the record, you, and your type are not welcome or wanted, so please stay on that side of the border, and do not pollute our shores with your presence. Unless of course it is your corpse washing up on shore. That would be most welcome.

can i say "we"?

richard - you know you can... you guys were shooting those guided missiles from your submarines. And were the first and strongest nation in supporting the whole deal with attacking the Taliban, as well as having your own troops on the ground.

The Brit's are ass deep off into it too :)

I think the Northern Alliance will do whatever George W. tells them to do. After they've seen the damage those B-52s can do I doubt they'll turn into the tail trying to wag the dog. They're just posturing, trying to gain some leverage before the negotiations on the future of the country start.

"We" the allies you moron.

I seriously doubt you have half a gram of valid brain in your head. so dont speak.

And what the heck was the deal with that Atlanta Airport incident?

So everytime someone sneezes at the airport all the flights are going to be grounded and everyone evacuated? Un-necessary.

That did 11 million dollars of damage to the airlines.

and for your information ....

"We are" wanted in US. The US tourism commercials run on the TVS here non stop. and just so you know I am going to Los Angles for a a series of Laker Games , court side.

So if you have issues with me (Bad_Dog) that you would like to settle, I have no problems with it since you live in California as well.

God bless america and if you dont like it get the fuck out..

I'm sick of foreigners raping our system and coming here just to take money and run back to there stupid countries.. Why do so many foreigners say we stick our noise in everything?? We do a hell of alot for the world and the world economy..Simon if our economy goes down, you can be god damm sure canada is going with us..Dont think its right for you to point at america all the time.. The world relies on America for many things but your too ignorant to admit it.. Pride and jealousy are 2 different things..

There lucky there b-52s's with General Purpose bombs and not a B-1 flying over with a Nuke.

You guys are sad, all of you. America is a strong country, because it's so big. It is big because foreigners immigrate here. And quiete frankly, the sutpid foreigners don't immigrate, only the smart bitches who know how to make money immigrate. All your best doctors, scientists, and other intelligence come from other countries, in case you haven't noticed yet. BEsides, your grandmas were immigrants too, so what the fuck? There is no real American in this place, except couple of Indians. So snow, and others.... you are really making me sad.

Petr, i totally agree with out.
Unfortunately, some of these guys either can't understand that or are just simply dont want to.

Some of the best doctors, lawyers, business men come from middle east, eastern europe and etc. So however good your economy is doing, its partially due to the efforts produced by these people..

A few people are bashing Canada here. I hope that doesn't mean that they're so ignorant as to think that the comments of one person living in Canada represents all Canadians.

As for the comments about allies, lets just set the record straight. Canada and the US have been allies in every major conflict of the 20th Century, including WW1, WW2, Korea, and the Gulf War. We are partners in NORAD, and in NATO. Canada has also sent troops, ships, and aircraft to support the action against the Taliban, so we're in that one together too. Moreover, Canada and the US share the longest undefended border in the world, are major trade partners, and have a strong free trade agreement. So get the facts straight before you talk about who your friends and enemies are.

First off Simon, just because we invite Canadians here to spend their hopefully converted to USA greenbacks, does not mean we want assholes like you that do nothing but slam and criticize the US at every opportunity, or that laugh at our misfortunes (like you have).

BTW, not only do I live in CA, I live close enough to the Staples Center to gladly take the time out to meet you there, crush your Taliban loving skull, and then use your courtside tix. So, if you are interested in meeting me to settle things between us, just name the time, date, and place, and I will gladly be there. Winner can post the results here. How does that suit you?

For the record, no I have nothing against Canadians, or any other countries citizenry, I am just sick and tired of people that love to slam us, but rely so heavily on our technology and money to survive. Simon is no ally, by any stretch of the imagination.
