oil,
I have been advertising Intergal for 3 1/2 years now and have always been paid. You can not ask if any one sponsor doesn't pay because there are plenty of webmasters who may not have been paid by one sponsor or another. It depends on certain circumstances and always a story to both sides. http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/smile.gif

anyway mistakes... LOL there are plenty we all make and learn from. In fact I myself find in this bizz it is a constant learning experience, no matter how long someone has been working as an adult webmaster.

The general opinion among webmasters is to the b est of my knowledge that Intergal cheats when they can get away with it.

My biggest mistake was getting hosting that was to good to be true. The price was damn cheap I cant remember how much, but my site would hardly ever load properly. Make sure that when you move to your own host if you already havent, do some research and ask around. Sometimes paying a bit more will make you more money cause your page will be reliable.

I second what Drake said.

When I moved up to a professional server (at only $20 per month more) my sales immediately doubled.

the best advice I can give you, and one of my biggest mistake, is that if you ever find something that works... why change it so drastically as to get even more? instead, keep it running, change it FOR the best, slowly, and create new sites instead of giving it a too drastic facelift.... (that's for big, running sites, not free/avs sites you post daily)

also, DON'T go for the quick buck if you're in for the long run...

God did I learn http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/smile.gif

oh, and maybe, if you get something that makes you in the 5 digits/month, even a better reason not to fuck it up http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/smile.gif

I'd say my biggest newbie mistake has been cyber-squatting...before I knew what I was doing! I squatted a VERY similar name to MTV & their lawyers have been all over me like fucking vultures! Like I said, I didn't know what the hell I was doing at the time...I thought I was being smart. I've learned that that shit doesn't pay! I was planning on NOT re-newing it anyway, but their lawyers don't believe me for some reason. It's a fucking madhouse by me with them! BUT...fuck 'em...it expires in month! If they sue me it'll be a waste anyway cuz I don't have anything anayway! I told them to relax & wait it out, but they insist I do all this shit to make sure. I told them I work too much to go out of way for them, but for some reason they DEMAND everything NOW! Like I said, "Fuck 'em. Wait & it's all yours!"
Don't EVER squat...it's NOTHING but trouble! If ya don't know what you're doing yet...now ya know! It just pisses people off & if the law's envolved, fageddit-a-bout-it!

Another big mistake is to disbelieve in what you do...

When you have a brand new idea, don't wait months to launch it and don't hesitate to accord a certain amount of money to it, just trust in yourself, and don't start 10 things at a time without having one of them really huge..

basschick

neocorp, i both agree and disagree with you...

agree: about 3 years ago, i realized how well shemale was selling but backed out of making a shemale paysite. i could have been rich had i gone for it...

disagree: a lot of new webmasters come up with ideas that really don't sell... you need to do research before you go for it.

also you need a focus in anything you do, but a lot of new webmasters want to put ALL their ideas in one site, when they should make 5 different sites with their 5 different ideas.

Hi Basschick

Well the stuff wirte I like most. Youīre really a pro to this biz. pity that you donīt have a icq number on your profile.
What do you think of this gallery idea I had I builted it but most tgp donīt list it.

Thinking of a gallery that hast 50 thumbs and the surfer can only click on 15 so he can see the quality of the pics but not all in full size itīs a kind of teasing him to make a membership. It s clear that the surfer can see which thumbs are clickable an which not so that he will know that this is not a error

I don't think they will list you oil. My biggest mistakes if you want to know, are getting bad hosting for a year. I tripled my sites when i switched to good hosting. Don't change designs drastically if you got something that works. When you feel your site is maxed out, leave it alone, don't upload a very old index file in place of a recent one, don't upload the wrong index to the wrong sites, (did that once or twice), don't have bad links (a couple of times), and don't go on vacation and be on a bad host where they know your going and the second you leave they cut down your sites!

Well Nic

That with the vacation is a thing I thought about.
What would you do ?`All my sites are still stored on a free host (still a newbie) and I should tell my customers that there are no updates for one month if I donßt they may never come back.
So if I tell them my freehost may see the text and forward my surfer to another site.
Whats best `?

oil, I saw a site one day doing all updates in advance and adding links to them for the time he would be on vacation. Maybe its a good thing to do. Else get someone to do it for you.

their is no such thing as a mistake in this industry, it's a learning experience... If you have an old school mentor then they will help you out along the way and make your journey a little easier.... But you have to remember that what I consider to be my biggest failure could be your biggest accomplishment... This is a learn by experience business, were you get better as time goes on.... Make the mistakes and learn from them and you'll be fine...
