in my experience, smutserver also has blind thumbs going to their 404 page, so i stopped listing them mainly b/c i dont feel like lookin at that 404 page everytime

been reviewing galleries for all of my TGP's and for the Thumb Lords for over three years

spending most of my days and nights just looking at submissions

here's a hint for all you people using freehosts...

try accessing your pages between 1am and 4am

you'll be surprised at what you may find
;)

bottom line, get your own domains

after you've given up your traffic, prime selling spots (headers and footers), competing with blind thumbs and the possibility of 404's and redirects - what does that leave you?

answer: with at least 50% less income and the possibility of being blacklisted

just my 2 cents

...and is it worth anything to use a freehost?

think of it dude, paid hosting might cost ya some bucks but you'll earn much more then it'll cost ya.

first you get much more listings and better listings, which will increase your traffic bigtime!

second you can add more banners yourself which will make you more money while you also get more traffic!

and third, the freehost guys won't be able to steal anything or redirect or change anything. it's all in your hands!!!

if you think about it paid hostings are much and much better. if you need one just do a search in here, i'm sure you'll find tons of good ones!
:)

Thanks guys, I think I will consider a dedicated or colocation for all my submission's needs, but I have to shop around with patience until I can find a reliable hosting company with the bandwindth price as low as $0.90 or $1/gig without hidden bandwindth cost.

I've actually heard a rumour about these guys here: http://www.exmasters.com/ charging 1000GB: $0.90/Gig. has anyone used them before??

Thanks for any feedback.
