I LOVE metal, punk (hell..I played in a punk/metal band for 7 years...but talent is talent), house, techno, trance, jazz, soul, r&b, hip hop...the list goes on.

The 3 groups I listen to the most while working are Collective Soul, Beck, and Silverchair. But when I am not working I like stuff that is a bit harder like Godsmack, Rage, and Metallica. In some situations when I feel like some really crazy shit I listen to Six Feet Under, Slipknot, and Soulfly.

CowboySurfers, Phish has been touring for like 20 years now! I think they deserve a break! And they aren't really breaking up, they are taking time off to do their own thing. Trey Anastasio, the lead guitarist, did his solo tour and I hit one of those shows up in Atlanta the 03/04/01. Their last show in Cali they said that they were coming back! And Phish don't lie! What other band do you know that can sell out any venue anywhere without the plubicity most other bands get! And don't call me close minded. I listened to that punk shit 3 years ago. I think that you are the close minded one man because you wouldn't understand the phish scene till you go to a show or listen to them for a while! They are the biggest band man, and I don't htink you realize it! You gotta. I am a diehard house/trance man but tool definitely comes in handy..
I just bought 2 250 watt JBL speakers for my house for one purpose..
My nextdoor neighbour/crack dealer likes to put on Motley Crew and open all of his doors and windows.. hehe, this happens about 3 times a week, so I went out and bought those Mammoth speakers and everything I hear some 80's rock blaring through my poorly insulated house I just put on Undertow and Crank it so loud the windows run a serious risk of breaking..

but yeh the thing all these pop artists lack is tha funk. al greene had it, marvin gaye had it. its the harmonies that just make you feel awesome!
