anyone know of any free rippers or ones with hacks?

i use mp3strip_it! and it works great...just my 30 days are almost up...i even checked astalavista, the warez se to no advail

I use WinDAC to ripp off my CD's, but i also use MP3 DEC to encode my mp3's.

Go to mp3.com and check the apps section, HUGE listing there!

Brian, try Exact Audio Copy, the price is right ($.33 -- only 110 blind hits!!!) and it Works. I recently tried every ripper I could find and most would not even recognize my drive or made garbage conversions. Get aspi457.exe from Adaptec to solve the recognition problem if you have one. Download EAC from: http://www.exactaudiocopy.de/
Convert to mp3 with Mp3Producer, another freebie: http://www.opticom.de/

on my 392 mhz k6-2 it can rip with 9x and encode directly to mp3 with 2,5x

I agree to hp. U should use Audiocatalyst.
Itīs one of the best progs available I think.
I use it myself and I got no pr0bs with it and good quality

yeah, i have napster...best thing ever.
i have about 500mp3s
i just needed the ripper to make some "Slim Harpo" Mp3s...slim who? exactly...i couldnt find anything from him on napster

napster runs off a bunch of servers...often hard to find users. icq me if you want to d/l some mp3s off me and i'll hop on napster. im on cable so its pretty good speed

You can use Napster it is good and u normally get what u want but be careful with ur important dates. Napster has big security wholes and it is not difficult to get on your computer.
Try www.bresso.com (http://www.bresso.com) and then check out the
"Kermit" search engine..

Idealab!, the parent company to many familiar Internet web sites, such as goto.com, etoys.com, cooking.com, netzero.com, eve.com, petsmart.com, and others, offered me $25,000.00 for this domain in October.
