If you had a site like: http://AdultReviews.net - How whould you get traffic when you are starting from scratch?

That means, We got a site with no traffic and no picture content. Out content is the reviews of the paysites.
What would you do to get some traffic in?

seriously i see that you should of have a better plan before you brought this out,,,

realistically i can't see how this is a good idea,,,95% of all paysites are pretty much the same inside,,,

All that site is good for is to filter your traffic from feeder, tgp, or cj sites..instead of sending to sponsers send surfers to that page,,

but if your lucky and get like a steady 5k of hits you can get paid by sponsers sending you screen shots and info of their members section

Playa: I can follow you on that. Sadly, we don't got other sites, therefore we are also looking for a patner which will send us traffic.
I believe that out site will have a great conversation ratio. We just need some traffic to prove it.
Aint here any which whould like to try it out and send us some traffic for a few days?

You'll get 20% of what we make totally as long as you are sending us traffic.

AdultReviews.net - Why would'nt someone send their traffic to their won sites or sponsors and make 100% instead of 20%?

What am saying is I dont see that being a good deal for anyone but you. Traffic is gold on internet... And that deal is'nt very appealing - At least in my eyes.

Give me $600 and I'll submit it to yahoo for you. 50% of the revenue will be mine for the first 6 months, after that it will be all yours.

Why don't you just buy traffic from goto.com and findwhat.com?

IronMax: Traffic from goto.com og fastfind.com - how good is that traffic?
I've thought of buying traffic from freehosts...
I know of porncity, but there must be more?
Can you please give me some of the biggest our some with good traffic? I need about 10K a day to start with.

I am a newbie myself so take this with a grain of salt:

Goto and Findwhat work well with niche terms but 10k per day would be at least $100 bucks a day...but good luck finding sex keywords on findwhat.com for .01. not impossible but improbable. Generic keywords like "sex" and whatnot are fairly expensive.

It might make a worthwhile test to buy X amount of visitors and check out your stats. to see how much time people spend on the site and what path they take and if they click through and buy.

Juicy tip=> Maybe include some sample content from the free images sponsors provide on a separate page or a graphic full page ad and call it adultreviews.net special backstage content?

As for buying 404 and other traffic from a free host I do not know. I am pretty sure it would be lower quality and you probably would have to be sure your site could handle given the bandwidth demands. I would be sure to spend some money on some good copywriting for the ads so people _know_ it is about pay sites.

Check Sextracker to find the biggest free hosts and message them.

Also, I would consider adding some 4free type of sponsors to your site -or- start your own 4free like site as a way to insure your grab those visitors. Maybe on a console if the visitor backs out of your site.

sorry about the book http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/wink.gif

i'm with IronManX as far as adding the sponsor content. your reviews will be much more rounded with samples from the sites http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/smile.gif

as far as the rest, make a feeder site with a script, sign up for some trades for the feeder site, and send it some gallery hits.

maybe you should reread my post,,,

20% LOL,,,

Tell me do you actually sign up to be a member with your own referal codes and then take screen shots of each site?

I told you how to promote that site,,,
basschick told you the same thing

IronManx: "I would be sure to spend some money on some good copywriting for the ads so people _know_ it is about pay sites."
What do you exactly mean? I don't understand that part.
We've bought some 404 and overuse traffic from a freehost. I'm courious to find out how good it will convert.
About the Adulteviews backstage area, that was a good idea. We'll try it out some time.
We have linked to eg. Gamma's picture of the hour.
Basschick: The idea about creating a tgp, cj site or something to make traffic is good. But we are not good at creating adultsites. We are good at reviewing them.
It would be great with a partner which could make galleries and get traffic.

Playa:
No we do not pay to get access to the paysites. We ask, and the owner use to let us in. It's free advertising. Do you have any sites you want reviewed?
Anyway: Thx for the hints. We'll work on it.

I mean if you are paying per click make sure that you do a good job of writing the advertising so that a user understands

--that the site is to help them decide which paysite they should join.

--instead of--
Something to the effect that they would be able to see a lot of paysites for free.

See what I mean?

With running adult sites for over 4 years - I personally would'nt start a site like that unless I had a good amount of traffic to kick it off with - Such as exit console traffic from pay sites or some good listing in the engines that were targetted towards what you are attempting to do. I'm one for filtering my traffic and targetting it as much as possible, as well as pre-qualifying it. Such as exit traffic coming from a pay site - I call this qualified traffic for another pay site, as they had to click something to end up at the pay site to begin with, hence being a site like that being opened in the console. And of course, the engine traffic, cause if they knew where it was to begin with - They would'nt be at the engine doing a search.

I would like to say you have a good idea, but truthfully, sites like that only make money if they receive 10,000 's of visitors a day. If you buy traffic, or something like that, it would be more profitable for you just to filter it into sponsor sites.

I suggest that if you do buy traffic, that you at least put in some kind of opt in e-mail prog, so you can recover some of the expenses of the bought traffic, because putting banners on the site alone isn't going to make you that much money.

Bullet

Sorry, but a less expensive way, other than buying traffic, would be submitting it TGP's.

All you'd have to do is create several galleries a day, with the only out link going to your adult review site.

It would still take a long time to build up a lot of bookmarkers, but if you had the time, and could filter 2000 - 3000 visitors a day, and keep them coming back on a daily basis, then you should be in good shape.

Good Luck http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/smile.gif

Shannon: You are right, the best thing would be that we had some traffic sources we could use. We are just started out, so we have to use what we have and start building from scratch.

Bullet: The idea with building galleries is good, but we don't have the time and experience for that. That's why we are trying to find an experienced partner which could build galleries and so on.
If we can't convert 2 out of 10.000, which we have to if we shall pay the traffic, then the idea aint good.

How are the conversation ratios in generel?

If you're buying traffic, it'd probably be better for you to filter that into sponsor/pay sites.

but if you do buy traffic, again, you'd want to start an opt in mailing list because banners on the site alone won't even cover the costs you pay to advertise.

If I filtered the traffic directly to sponsors, paysites, then I wouldn't get ane regulars to Adultreviews.net

About the maillist, can you please try to explain what you mean so a child can understand?

If I am not wrong, this is what bullet meant with the email list :

You want the surfers to enter their email into the collection box that you already have on your site, to be able to send them emails. The emails should contain new reviews, updates on site (for example notification of content update...), you should send them special promotions - like - I found a new site offering free memberships ... You will have to use that email list to make them believe you have found something special for them.

Matuloo: Thx for the explanation.. Now I got it.

It was also our plans placing a special offer when we send mails to the maillist.
