View Full Version : more google traffic !! SE GURUS
My website is at:
http://www.gdgiftshop.com
http://www.gdgiftshop.com/wholesale.htm
gdgiftshop.com is not up yet,
Please search through my keywords at my wholesale page and tell me what words I could use or what I could do to get more hits. I believe I got 1 visitor from google who used this string ..
"where to get unique retail items on wholesale price"
I have to be doing something wrong.. 1 visitor is pathetic... Im guessing its my keywords, or the way my page could be setup. any feedback would be appreciated..
thx in advance.!

Hi Pyro,
Thanks for the nice comments. As my opinion, I find learning is worth more than paid consulting. I speak as a paid consultant too here, learning gives you a competitive edge :-)

pyro, you could check if you're in the next update through http://www2.google.com/ (this is how the next live update in a few days will be)
Other than that, my google tip of the day is: have links to all other pages of your site on each of your pages, up to 100 links a page seem to go through without problems, internal links work surprisingly good. Always have text links instead of images, with keywords in the text of the link. And demand text links instead of images from others linking to your site, and have keywords in these links instead of the name of your site, because "Archie's Something Links" will boost your relevancy for exactly that, "archie+something+links".
Did I mention that I am doing fucking good in the SE's again, wohoo! That helps alot over the recent hosting problems I have.
A comment about the ergonomy of the site, not related to SE's though: I'd never underline text unless it is a link. Otherwise it's just confusing.

place a search term in google,,
click on the link that says cache,,,you get a good idea how google reads their relevancey..
also get listed on DMOZ as you get alot of YAHOO traffic with them thru google.
