ARS SHAVE? WTF!?

ok am pissed, my ars converting ratio was around 1:210 for a few days since i started using it and was doing superwell lots of signup but then the last 2 days nothing! ratio is like 0:3000 how can this be possible? things just dont drop like a rock like that... am starting to think they shave or something or maybe not but i dont ever trust sponsers anyway.

tell me if you guys have any experience with this, i was gonna quit my job and do this full time but after seeing this am having second thought.

Shit like that does happen.
Last month i did 1:200 with a sponsor that uses ibill, this month before i stopped using them i was at 1:3500. Dont ask me why, it just happens.

The same goes for me.. I've always done very well with ARS, but last month was terrible... 1:2000. One of the main reasons might be overexposure.

This is common for different types of traffic. For example, my traffic comes from search engines. People see a brand new site and subscribe and you get amazing conversions the first few days. Then they start to reduce and reduce and eventually diminishes to a pretty low ratio. This is the general trend. That's why I rotate sites I advertise, keep giving people something fresh.

thanks for reply guys, but the thing is that ive only used ars for 5 or 6 days, the first few days where amazing, i get 6 sign ups aday then the last 2 day 0, it doent matter what the what it is, nothing can drop that fast!

its like you can go from 200km and stop a 0.

There is a lot of individual (by program and by reseller, from what I can tell) scrubbing going on, so programs will vary widely from month to month. I keep all ad pages handy at all times, and use scripts to swap them out. It'll have to be that way until the scrub situation eases up.

Taimaster, maybe you have a alot of bookmarkers, the first week they all checked out the new sponsor and the ones that liked it signed up and now they have seen it all and you wont sell shit anymore.

Im not doing so well right now but i trust them a hell of alot more then i trust some others out there.

you do not get to be #1 by cheating, when are you people gonna learn that? there are like 20,000 webmasters in ARS program and wow, you were the first one to discover they shave? i did multiple tests with them, and they have always come out correct, dont hate the player, hate the game.

I've tried going from 10-15 signups to 0.
I've tried to go from a click ratio to 250% to 150% within a day.
I've tried SEVERAL time to drop with mayby 50K / day and then grow 50K / day the next day (and it is not TGP traffic so has nothing to do with getting listed or not).
Does that mean someone is shaving away my signups?
If you use a trusted processor like ARS then I would say no. (they use Ibill)
Does it mean someone is cheating me somehow because my clicks drop? most likely not if I only trade with people I trust.
Does it mean that my host is screwing me when I drop with 50K in 1 day? most likely not when I know my host can be trusted!
What does this tell you?
1: there is a fluctuation in traffic. Unless you make 30-40+ signups / day you can't say shit.
2: If you don't trust someone DO NOT USE THEM. Don't keep on using them and go bitch on the boards.
If you had a bad experience with a sponsor then SHUT UP. If you see someone asking about a sponsor you had bad experience with then you can tell them your experience with them.
Do like the old saying (where just reading that on PC BBS) write it all in a letter. Put it somewhere save and forget about it (offcourse if someone screwed you over a large amount of money it is OK but when it comes to convertions.......)
I've seen a lot of shit from sponsors but to go crying about it on the board everytime something happend will get you no where except backwards and you'll loose important contacts in the feature.
Sponsors are here for the same reason as you.
To make Money. Offcourse there is always rotten eggs like there cheaters.
The point is:
Unless you got some proofs then shut up with your bitching.

You've only used them for five or six days?
What kind of sites are you building?

What kind of traffic are you sending?

And, yeah, things do drop like a rock. Just like that. There are niches/fetishes that are seasonal. There are days and months that are notorious for doing great or badly. Sometimes, there's no rhyme nor reason for anything that happens on the net. Sometimes, a Mae East or West goes down or a construction guy chopped an optic cable...
sometimes, shit happens.

Give me the url to one of your sites and let me see what you're doing here. Five or six days means nothing in this industry.

Let me ask you, how do you know if they are honest or not? they arnt gonna tell you that they are CHEATING you. All am saying is that things have to gradually change from 1:210 and then 1:250, 1:400. From 1:210 to 0:4000 is a bit odd, am sorry but those numbers looks supiscous to me.

taimaster, i've seen many programs drop just like that, including programs that use third part processors who do the stats.

there are so many reasons this could happen, but yes, your bookmarker will go back, remember the site and hit back. i only make sales from my bookmarkers the first week every time.

Ohh yea... did i tell you about acmeporn? (stiffycash) 2 month my ratio was 1:320 and then it was 1:5000 the next month and then 1:300 or so again lol.

it's a lot more likely that the sites are trying different consoles or processors than that they are cheating you. if i were going to cheat someone, i wouldn't make the ratio of hits to sales so different - it makes it stand out.

Taimster, the more I use ars, the more I'm convinced that they don't shave.

I use them and siccash back and forth, some others as well. A few months ago, I had a conversion ratio of 1 in 5000, so I stopped using them, and took down all there links. Then for some odd reason, I had a 1 in 99 conversion ratio the period after that, and a 1 in 12 conversion ratio after that. The odd thing is that I could've sworn that I had taken down all there links from my sites, so I just figured that they were generating hits. So I started using sic cash, and a few others. After using them, I made the same amount or less money with the same traffic. So I switched back to ars again, and have been using them back and forth.

Anyways, here's my tip, don't use all porn sponsors. Try other ones.

I dont know bout ARS, but I know a sponsor that cannot cheat, and I've been sending it regular traffic, and get 4-6 signups a day (sometimes 10) but on odd days 0 or 1 signups turn up too. Just wait and see, and the signups should average out.

Sorry, in other words I make the same amount or more with ars than I do with most other pay per signup sponsors I use.
