Lets get rid of these super nasty pop ups !!!!

While taking a look at some of my trade partners sites i noticed that many (especially spanish) sites are starting to use those nasty pop ups that cant be closed unless you press Alt+F4.

These pop ups stay loaded in background and 99% of the surfers dont know how to close them http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/frown.gif

e.g. www.putasgratis.com (http://www.putasgratis.com) has them on enter and exit.

...some pop ups do even load as full page so that the surfer is forced to click a link !

I have now started to remove all these trade partners from my site...i think these pop ups are a way to nasty.

What do you guys think ?

I think that pop-ups sucks !
especially those full-page pop's that could be closed only with ALT+F4! I HATE THAT KIND!

Does anybody know where I can see these super nasty popups? I've never heard of a popup you can't close and forcing you to do the alt-f4 method?

yo Dialer Dealer that guy of . www.putasgratis.com (http://www.putasgratis.com) is owns also www.fotosfree.com (http://www.fotosfree.com) he has alot of those sites i believe that a few days ago he was using that auto bookmark script on his sites

I'm not sure what you guys are talking about, the popups are annoying, but i can close them just find by clicking the close icon? So what's so bad about them??

yeah it's weird how i can close them just fine?? I tried it in both netscape 4.07 and ie 5.01. I don't get them? There's been lots of URL's posted here, can someone tell me exactly which one they visit and with which browser and I'll try again?

The thing that is funny to me is.. why the fuck do webmasters think these full page pop ups are going to get them signups?

I always click:

CTRL/ALT/DELETE

You thn get a list of open windows URL and your running programs, and the one with the 'bitch pop-up' is usually the one at the top or the one in the middle - just close it and surf on.

yeah, such dirty pops suck bigtime, and they're useless because they only make people pissed off...
