i sort of agree with backov. this board is something tim does for us - it isn't about adolescent struggle against authority.

we get a place to bitch, to interact, to find people to make more money from and with. i get a lot out of this board, and i don't have to pay for it.

tim gives us all something we really enjoy - why shouldn't we show our respect for his generosity by sticking with a few painless rules? tim isn't your parents, your teacher, or your boss - he's your peer!

As for the original topic - Basschick is right. It's about respect. And more pragmatically than that - it's about NOT showing disrespect for the guy who runs the board. As I said - do you really think that's smart?

I dunno why I even bother really. This "anything is acceptable if you can get away with it" attitude is pretty much the norm in this industry.

I certainly respect the rules, but I also respect the script users and I feel responsible for telling them about the place where their questions get answered - if not here.

And btw - IMHO Tim should be the one to judge if this thread appears, and not you Backov. Also it is rediculous that you are the one who barks loudest whenever the script appears here - I can't remember that Lane harmed you in any way; Due is the only one who has the right to bitch. But as long as you're not moding this board, I can care less.
But hey, this board ain't my place - just wanted the newbies (who don't always have the money to buy a script) to know that there is a place where Lane's script ain't banned.
