yeah fuck it. Like Nas said "Life is a bitch and then you die."

I heard this in at the service to a friend of mine...

we treat life as though it is certain, and death as though it is uncertain and unexpected. In fact, in death is certain and life itself is uncertain. So do not talk about what you are going to do 3-5 days, months or years from now if it is truly important to you do it today.

peace.

It's really unfortunate this happened to her. I found her acting debut to be quite great and she does have an amazing voice and talents (and I don't usually like R&B). My regards to her family and the other members on board the plane.

She did matrix 2 and 3, so she'll be remembered for a while. Too bad, I heard them talking about how she was just getting into the peak of her career.

that once again shows how unimportant money can be.. good friends, health and a long life is what really counts...
would be good to keep that in mind

Yea man - That makes you think... She was only 22 yrs old. She was a pretty lady who I watched (through the media) grow up. She had movies and albums under her belt and was ready to reach for the stars... Cut short, by tragedy. RIP baby girl.

its sad because she not only had a beautiful voice but her acting career was about to sky rocket, with the Matrix 2 & 3 and she was also schelduled to be in Queen of the Damned by Anne Rice.

God bless her & loved ones, rest peacfully and sweetly.

Very upsetting to hear of anyone dying, especially one who appreciated the briefness of life, and the need for urgency in using the limited time to the fullest. I bet she's crying on the otherside, wondering exactly how much effort she had to put into life to actually hang around. very upsetting, touched to hear.

=> In answer to your question on who said that quote, it was Jesse Jackson.

The thing I found the best about the whole thing is her recent interview when she was talking about down the road if she passes what she wanted people to think of her...Everything she wanted had come true...Everyone thinks of her as a good person and shit...Aalliyah was one of the best...she had some good videos and I am hoping they are gonna release don't rock the boat (the video she was working on and finished)! I can't imagine how much traffic her site was getting the other day I tried pulling it up and it took 10 min no lie! Its crazy and she will be missed! My sorrys go to her family and to the other people on the planes family as well...Rest in peace aaliyah...You accomplished your one wish...
