We had one guy tell us that he left his computer on for a week while he was gone. He says that when we came home our "Real Dialer" icon showed up on his computer.
He said he left the window open, so he thinks someone broke into his and downloaded the dialer onto his computer.
He then asked us if we could take off any charges that this "crook" might have done.
LOL sure champ! What a shame that he'll prob tell AT&T the same story and have the charges taken off.
Oh well! http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/smile.gif

Hmm here's one
"How come your program wont work at the internet shop"
India
"Please my mom will kick me out of the house, here's my number ..... cancel it"
He was about to cry lol.. I felt bad so I told him to do some extra chores and pay his mom. I also told him if she called the phone company she would find out he's been a naughty boy.
"I caught my 12 yr old son accepting your terms.
At no given time was the password or user name used.
Im not happy about the targeting of young people.
And I hope this will be taken care of, to prevent kids from gaining access to porno
PLEASE save us both the troble by not billing my phone #

notice they always say "i dont know how it got there" and it was never them.
consumer fraud is rife. both credit card and 900 numbers. the law should do somthing about these consumers who charge back cards and 900 numbers when they have used the service and agreed to it.
in the uk and australia it's very different http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/smile.gif
they can cry till the cows come home...still no refund!!

If you don't want #900 chargebacks start your dialer in country such as latvia that doesn't respect foreign laws... just be ready to run with the money if they break that rule hehe for you http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Freak,
That would not help considering that AT&T deducts chargebacks from the current period's minutes.
Geez, I dont believe you guys blatantly steal people's money from them and then sit here making fun of them.
Yeah I use to think like that....

Hypo,
These people know exactly what they're getting into, we're not stealing their money.
Don't be a hypocrite.

You don't feel sorry for these people paying between 2.99 - 8.99 per minute, and especially on dialup? Let's face it, it's a major ripoff for what you get. I feel bad for them, but it is their choice still, unless you get the little teens who want porn and don't realize the consequences :-)

Why should I feel sorry? They made a choice.
Like it or not dialers are here to stay and will continue to thrive once we release our broadband solution.

Well, I never really like ripping people off. We all know the price people pay for dialers is more than what you get. I like making a profit from people but not robbing them. The real people who profit here are the telco's, not webmasters and sure as hell not consumers who pay ridiculous per minute rates.

They make a choice to use the dialer. No one pointed a gun to their head to go use a dialer.
Besides, there are also drop charge dialers that charge the consumer $40 for 30 days of access.

Also,
Wiredguy you clearly have no clue what you're talking about.
On dialers the webmasters keep most of the money.
The reason the per minute prices are so high on 900 numbers are due to chargebacks.

WiredGuy, i used to run a shemale paysite. i was astounded the number of guys that said they didn't use their card and charged back. i called a bunch of them and EVERY ONE I TALKED TO admitted that they made the charge.
some were charging back the fucking trial, for god's sake! most came back over and over and then wouldn't pay me $4.98 for 5 days of porn that they used if they could commit fraud to get out of it.
if the dialers were twenty cents a minute, the guys would still charge them back. my current dialer has the price alone when you get to the dialer on a line all by itself. you REALLY can't miss it.
how are we ripping them off? the dialer charges would be lower, but 40%-60% of dialer charges are charged back, almost all by u.s. men.
Basschick, RIGHT ON!!!
Here's the latest one I got
"On 6/26/01, my 7 year old boy clicked on a "Brittney Spears" icon that was
sent to my 13 year old girl against her wishes (she was hyperlinked, and
could not get out of it). When he clicked on this spears icon, apparently the
modem called somewhere using Microsoft's web browser (we use aol, not
netscape navigator).
After reading what he clicked on, I am concerned that my phone bill will be
charged a $45.00 fee???? He immediately clicked off after getting me. Does
this charge automatically get billed at the time he clicked "I accept"? Or do
you have to go through a process before that happens with multiple "are you
sure"s?"
This guy knows exactly how a dialer works as he asked me if there are any multiple "I sure's" to go through before he gets charged LOL
