I am in Toronto, now would like to upgrade my internet access from dialup to ... the question, cable or dsl(bell high speed net access), any advice?

isn't there a class action being filed against rogers? i think i heard that since they claim 'unlimited usage', it's impossible with all the downtime they have

when rogers was still providing cable service on the west coast it was a friggin nightmare for me. had to make the change to dsl, and i'd suggest you to look into it as well http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/smile.gif

the problem with dsl here is that the wait for install is anywhere from 1 to 5 months. and rogers used to offer free install & the fact that they'd come within the next 2-4 days.

if they still have that deal, get your name on the waiting list for dsl, then get rogers to wait out the storm (don't see how they can justify charging $100 for 5 minutes of work... almost sounds like a dialer http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/tongue.gif)

im just outside T.O., but the cable round here is good, lots of happy customers, i believe they still have an upload cap, it used to be 10kb/s - 20, but now its up to 40 kb/s, whihc insn't great, but its not bad, and download is sweet (anywhere up to 350-400 kb/s) all in all, i like my cable

Rogers was kind of shaky at first but, now I wouldn't even think about giving any more money to mama bell.

is bell dsl the same price as rogers cable in toronto?

residential dsl is $40 here, same as cable. but for a few more ips & slightly faster speed it's $65

Lately I've had a bunch of problems with @home. Was down 4 days and up and down for another 4-5 days,......

Don't really know what they are doing though.
