Thanks!
They are a reseller for Davies Inc. Davies Inc has provided server adminstration of AWI for the last 2 years.
If you want to get your second month free contact mcd@daviesinc.com and say Tim from AWI sent you and you'll receive your second month free of hosting when you pay for your first month.

Hi,
I checked out daviesinc.com and the prices (colocation) are way higher ($400 setup + $400/month for colo with 160gb) than 2bucksagig ($0 setup + $200 dedicated with 200gb) How can that be? =/
Though I'd find better prices on daviesinc.com but afterall better prices are impossible :P
Anyone knows what kind of connectivity and noc they have?
Thanks alot

Their virtual low bandwidth package seem to be pricey!!!
The reason is they work through resellers so they do not quote prices lower than them. However if you contact daviesinc direct (mcd@daviesinc.com) and say I sent you you'll get (a) the same prices and (b) the 2nd month free.
The 2nd month is what I would have received as a commision for referring people. However because I know the owner well I choose not to receive any commission but rather recommend his service gratis and pass along the saving.

I'll definatly go with them as soon as I need a dedicated... especially with their prices it's not long you reach their prices with competitor's virtual plans http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/frown.gif

Chris here from Davies, Inc.
Answers to a few questions here:
1) yes, there are resellers that have made bulk deals with us that have negotiated better pricing than our book rates.
2) We've got 100mb/sec currently and are in the process of getting a backup connection that has been delayed time and time again. We're in a carrier class facility where many of the floors in the building are purely telecom vendors. In fact, I believe there is only one office in the building (the management company) that is not a telecom vendor. We don't oversell (you cannot oversell in this industry) and we offer good pricing and a good value. I can turn up bandwidth up to 1 gigabit/second with a phone call -- everything is in place for us to do that.
3) Virtual hosting through 2bucksagig is their deal. We do dedicated only. They happen to host their servers at our facility and we do manage their servers.
4) Our NOC -- 24x7 monitoring. 24x7 oncall. 99% of everything that needs to be done can be done remotely (console access, off-net management & connectivity tests, remote rebooting, etc) I am hiring a few techs that will be on call that are closer than I am, but as our clients can attest, downtime and technical support is something we have addressed very well.
I've been designing mission critical networks since '92, been building ISPs since '94 and believe that customer service is our product.
Become one of our happy clients..... I'm sure you'll be extremely happy with our service, the server, and our bandwidth.
