When I started back in '99 I was pulling in 200.00 a week which ain't bad. Now with trial and error and learnin' the ropes I am up to 1000.00 a day. I just did my taxes a couple days ago I was shaking in my boots, but after we went through all our deductions for "business" expenses IRS owes me 8000.00 <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="biggrin.gif" />

Usually when your self-employed there are no withholdings, unless you do them yourself... perhaps you pay yourself through your own corporation (a nice tax heaven if done correctly) .. or did you pay them too much sales tax? Hell.. I make $1500/day and sometimes hit as high as $3000 on weekends. FlyingIguana, Dan S is right in my book. it ain't nobody's business what anyone else makes a month. besides, most people lie about money. <br /><br />years ago i knew a little about a guy named ron who had started a new program with some folks. they called the site cybererotica. they clear $150million a year after taxes.<br /><br />i know a guy who does basically the same thing i do, but he's pumped about $80,000 into it annually with no profits in sight where i make my living at this.<br /><br />surfcat, just because someone else makes $300 a day doesn't mean you will. it's a difficult business in some ways, and a lot of smart peeps can't make it.<br /><br />don't judge what you will make by what others make unless you like disappointment. just try a few things with it and see if you can do it or not.

The dude who claims to make $1000 a day and says he is getting $8k back from the IRS is not necessarily full of shit. He may well be full of shit about how much he actually earns, but that scenario is entirely possible.<br /><br />You see, by law you have to pay ESTIMATED taxes every quarter. I'd think you guys would know that. If he brings in $1k a day, for the first quarter he has to estimate what percentage of that $90k is expenses, estimate how much he will make across the year to get applicable tax rates etc, and mail in his ESTIMATED first quarter taxes. Then he has to do the same thing for the second quarter, the third quarter, and also for the fourth quarter. That's $365k a year gross more or less. Believe me, missing your estimates by $8k is not that hard. It's very believable and happens every day.<br /><br />But like one guy said above, he managed to loan that $8k to the govt. interest free.
