GPS (GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM)

anyone have any experience with these? are they worth it? any recommendations?

Have on in my car and I love it. Definitly worth the extra money when you are buying a new car. Plus you can always add one if you like. Alpine DVD nav is one of the best. When buying a NAV make sure its DVD based and the whole country is on one cd/dvd. The older none dvd based nav's are by region, so if you travel you might need to get a different cd. I have a hard drive unit but it has maps for all of US.

Runs great over here. VDO Dayton was my choice. The only thig I'm missing is a big red button that starts an auto-pilot to the next McDonalds...

I recomend to buy Casio watch with GPS(its about 400$)
