Browser getting fucked up

When I installed "Tewak XP" it secretly installed "Gator" and "Advertise Companion", which of course I did NOT want.

ZoneAlarm kept them from ever accessing the net, and I was able to uninstall both programs, but it left my IE6 browser all messed up.

Does anyone know how to turn back on the "status bar"?

I hate not being able to see what link my mouse is over.

Gator really pisses me off with this shit, because they did NOT ask me for permsion to install this shit on my computer, and they changed my homepage, default search engine, screwed up my seach from address bar, and removed my status bar.

Bastards.

Try this..

Go into Windows Explorer (not IE) select "View" and check "Status Bar". Then Go to Tools > Folder Options > View and select "like current folder".

After doing this open IE and see if the status bar is back.
