While everyone might not agree that virtual kiddie porn is right, this ruling is a very good thing.

At a time when US citizens basic rights are being infringed apon, it is reassuring to know that there IS some intelligent life left that understand the value in upholding our rights.

It is a good day for all Americans, congratulations.

What's considered "virtual"? I remember there was a case here in Canada where someone was making sex stories (no visual depiction) of child porn and he was arrested. I think its still in court.

WG

when they struck the law down, it may be
constitutionally right as per law but it
is still moraly WRONG for any child to be
depicted as a sexual object wether it be
photos, drawings, movies or computer graphics.

today is a sad day

PeepNTom, people will always want what they are told they cannot have. in the "roaring 20's", even people who never drank alcohol started drinking - because of prohibition.

i am horrified by child porn and virtual depictions of it, but making it illegal won't stop it. having no market would stop it. and there is no quick-fix easy answer.

there are still LOTS of countries where stories and such would be legal, and the web is world-wide.

I agree basschick, people are people but it
still makes for bad news that this happened.

1. it will increase those that make it or possibly
might.
2. those with enough money can make some pretty
convincing CG (computer graphics) and those that
do will most likely be rich due to sick people
wanting that type stuff.
3. still a sad sad day and it blows my mind actually

whether you like it or not, it was the right decision. The fact that it and many other things like it are there, means you are FREE.

I love how the Supreme Court usually always views the constitution objectively.

You don't have to be FOR cp to think this decision is a good thing.

Hell, years ago people were banning those little walkers that mom's use....because the "walkers" kept falling down stairs!!

Good morals do not make good laws! A better way is to prosecute the sickos and let the rest alone. (and to have parents really watch what is going on at home).

I just want my right to Smoke some buds its not hurting anyone but myself and its no worse the the cigarettes i smoke. Selective rights are BS Mother Nature makes it grow not some checmical process like smack or crack.

Its legal for me to trip on Shrooms according to the DEA as long as i dont get cought distrubuting them for money. Yet i still cant grow some fucking buds or smoke it even for personal use and Shrooms are much more deadly. Never once have a heard of a case where somone OD on some buds unless the shit was sprayed.
