Where to learn CGI ?

is there any good resource for abolute beginners how to learn CGI ?

I bought to book which should be for beginners but I don´t get it - a lot sound to spanish for me

The reason why I wanna learn is cause I just wanna setup a form processor on my site but I didn´t make - I am gettin mad.

is it just that you want the content of the form to be sent as a mail / save it somewhere on the server?

if so, I still have a good script I used to send forms back then.. with "thank you" page etc. anywhere.. tell me if I need to search for it :)
