i have shit loads of licenced CDs, but what happens if i was to buy a new domain and upload these pictures there? would they still be covered by my licence?

That depends pretty much on the licences you got. There are some contentproviders which will let you use the pics on all your domains and some which limit the licence to only on domain.

JOP is right. When you purchase the content dod you have to give the URL that you will be using it on? If not then if proabably does not matter. If you did then some places chagre extra for the domains. Read thier terms.

I have a few CD's that limit the number of domains allowed (3). If I use the pics on domains NOT listed on the copies of the license, I am in violation of my license, and copyright.

That is why I love content with unlimited domains. I bought it, I don't want to get fucked because I didn't list a domain on a piece of paper.

what i do:

if i have to name domains for the license,i write ALL TIME:

domain-a.com
domain-b.com
+one currently unregistered domain with the same whois-info

i think this works out,like i need it;-)

Why not just hotlink the images from your other domains onto the original one?

ie: domain.com is the one licensed with the content. Then domain2, domain3, etc... would just link to the images on domain.com. A bit sneaky but I think it could work depending on the wording of the license you got.

It all depends where you got the content from. Matrix content allows for up to 4 domain names, and it's 5 dollars a set for every domain name after that. Some providers I purchased from allow up to 25 domains.

Just contact them first, and have them add the domain.
