I use TDWaterhouse. They're pretty good. You get everything you need to trade stocks, options, etc. Plus, if you have a bank account with TD it is easy to transfer funds to your stock account over the Internet.

Yea except TD Canada Trust sucks my ass..
I was with them for 6 years... And then I started up a business account, I explained it to them what was going to happen, and my business..
They said ok, 2 months later they tell me that Managment isn't comfortable with the nature of my business and they kick me out on my ass, meanwhile I have 300 webmasters that I have to pay that have cheques from this account enroute to them..
All those cheques started to bounce on me, and made me look like shit..
Canadian Banks are all a bunch of screw ups, especially TD Canada Trust..
Anyone in this business if you have a bank account in Canada with TD, I would recommend going to another bank as they are a bunch of hypocritical moral fucks...
STAY AWAY!!!!

Shit that sucks. Why did you tell them what you were doing? I have my business account with them and have never felt the need to tell them what I did. All I've ever said is that I do computer consulting. Never had a problem.

just my opinion, but you shouldn't have to lie to your bank.

To be honest, this is complete bullshit and discrimination. TD Bank can only refuse business with you if your doing something illegal, because of your involvement in the adult industry should not be an issue and you are in your legal obligation to go after them for business interuption. As you said, their action caused business harm (reputation and financial) and if I were you, I'd go after them. I'm not saying a lawsuit, but start with the Canadian Banking Ombudsman, they are really good in dealing with these issues and after a conflict I had with Royal Bank I did receive a settlement of over $1000 US for the damages Royal Bank caused to my business and it didn't cost me a penny or even a lawyer. Seriously, go after them, your involvement with adult should not be the only issue.

WG

To answer the original question, I use eTrade. A bitch to transfer funds back and forth but in general they have good research tools.

WG

http://www.datek.com/
Havenīt used them since March 2001 when I left Nasdaq (one of the smartest decisions in my life). Some of my friends still use them with no problems.
Go to gomez.com, they had some nice deals with online brokers (deposit $2K+, get $200 from Gomez) & unbiased reports, customer ratings etc. Membership is still free, I think.

When you start having the amount of funds flowing in and out of a corperate account people start asking questions..
They start making demands, especially when a man in his 20's is making more money than anyone else at that branch..
And what my lawyer said to me was that they have the right to do business with anyone they want to and vice versa...
As long as they aren't decriminating me for a reason that is beyond my control, such as the color of my skin, my religious beliefs, etc, etc ..

I use both Action Direct(RBC) and TDWaterhouse(TD) but find them extremely expensive at $29(RBC) or $35(TD)per trade plus $0.0X per stock.
