My IBM is the best. No problems
Another reason why I think it has not sense to buy computers from big names, because they are vulnerable to viruses and bullshit in the same way like no name comps.
I had the same experience like you guys - crashing HDD making some strange noises - few weeks after using ICQ 99. I found strange files in system directory etc. etc.
The only thing I could do was taking 150 bucks and buy and install new hard drive. From that time I have two comps ethernet connected and I am trying to make backups as often as possible.

My Tandy 1000l with 2mb of RAM 512 meg HD and 286 CPU 14.4 modem is still smoking.

Hey Guys,
Why not get a real computer???
G3 powerbook mac labtop... That kicks ass http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/wink.gif
now flame away!
I wouldn't flame anyone for buying a mac, but I will sit here smiling at the fact that I got a computer with twice the speed twice the ram and twice the disk space for half the price....
I remember having bad sectors with one of my computers, forgot which one cause I have so many. Glad you figured out the problem. I know how much it sucks to have your computer fuck up and you just sit there for hours and hours unconnected. I would just always call breest. He's my tech support.

Well i'm waiting for the dell people to call back so i can schedule the tech to come to my house..Hes gonna sit here and do the complete install..
The dell i have is beautiful, but i think all this started with viruses sent to me through outlook express..
this is a pentium 3 933 mghz with 256 megs of ram and a 45 gig hard drive,It's fast as hell but these probs suck man..
Does anyone here use microsoft oulook here for there email client?
Does anyone use the upgraded version or the one that comes with windows..
I'm told to get a fire wall, use macafee virus protection instead of noris and use a diff email client..

You NEED a firewall and some good anti-virus software. Everyone has an opinion on which brand to use, but the most important thing is to install a firewall as soon as you can. And a good anti-virus program will catch viruses attached to emails.

Norton corporate 7.01 protect X ver 4 fierwall running on windows 2000 i have nver had a virus or hack that got to me i get shitloads in my email also norton finds them when i click on the email to read it i do check for updates on norton every week to make sure i have the latest shit.
What email prog you use does not matter if you have a good anti-virus http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/smile.gif
